Frightening times. Spengler uses the euphemism "third world muslim" to describe the men Obama's mother sought out. muslim? Yes. But how about let's call a spade a spade?
What do you call someone who deliberately seeks out members of only one race to the exclusion of all others. (Hint- a racist) She was a campus radical in the mold of the late sixties S.D.S. She, like many of her ilk, went out of her way to ball black dudes as a deliberate affront to The Man. They did it to confirm their marxist credentials, and more than that- to piss of white guys. Almost everyone from our generation knew such toxic chicks.
And yes. Teh Preznit is the product of hard core sixties radical left wing ideology. As Spengler himself has said (paraphrase) He imbibed hatred of America (and Israel) with his mother's milk.
I have tried to keep away from the notion that Obama has malevolent motives for the policies that he promotes. I can't avoid it any longer. This man does not mean us well. He wishes to take this nation down a peg, and he is working overtime to accomplish that goal.

By far the most psychologically disturbed president of modern times. And when the is combined with a soul that has no grounding in the American earth, it is very disturbing indeed.Posted by vanderleun at April 9, 2010 3:29 PM
This can only end in one way. It is preordained. Better sooner than later. Why the delay?Posted by at April 9, 2010 5:04 PM

I'm attending a class at my parish which is another try at Liberation Theology (aka Marxism) under a new name. You'll love this. The Left has co-opted "Solidarity" for this one.
I completely agree with the sentiments expressed in this post. The president isn't American (and I'd say that if he was born in Our Town, U.S.A). He is a hardcore Leftist. His sensibilities align perfectly with the international Left of Western Europe.
But, trust me, you will NOT win converts with these arguments. It is well and good for us to have this blog and others where we can safely discuss our deepest concerns. But, it is time to get in the trenches, folks. Do the hard work of trying to PERSUADE people. Be able to EXPLAIN American civic religion, as in Prager's American Trinity: In God We Trust, E pluribus unum, and Liberty.
People "in the middle" are generally good-natured and responsible. They have absorbed the Left's slander of George Bush and conservatives for DECADES now. They're fish that don't know they're wet. They are swayed by the Left's misuse of "compassion" arguments. These are the people we need to convince in order to turn this ship around. Are you engaging in conversation? If you are, and you have any tips for what works, I and others could use your advice. PLEASE, for God's sake - send reinforcements!Posted by Western Chauvinist at April 9, 2010 5:50 PM
You are right on the money with your assessment. I had a couple of incidents in the last week that bear out what you are saying.
In the first I happened to take a coffee break with some of the other guys I work with on the maintenance crew. The conversation could be summed up: They oughta' tax those rich bastards not us. It's the oil companies' fault we don't have electric cars. It's the car makers' fault everyone drives big-ass SUV's. The government should pass a law...
I started to bring up the cost of superfluous environmental regulations that cost industry, (and us on the crew) untold millions of dollars for no appreciable gain. Stupid move on my part. Flat stares. I might as well have been speaking Chinese. I just dropped it.
It was somehow beyond their ken that car makers build the cars that people want, not the cars that the environmentalists think are good for them.
They didn't understand or know that the top tiny percentage of richest Americans do, indeed carry the vast majority of the taxpayers' burden. They don't understand that generating electricity, transmitting it hundreds of miles across a power grid, and then storing it in batteries to power cars does not save, but wastes energy. They think that Bush started the war for oil.
These are people who get their information from twenty minutes of news from ABC, CBS, or NBC; maybe from the headline, and first columns of the LA Times, before tossing the front page for the Sports section.
They don't want anything to do with computers except for maybe e-bay, you-tube, and porn. And most of them aren't even aware of the internet at all.
To make it worse, my friends: These guys are twenty years or more younger than me. (I'm not exaggerating for dramatic effect here.)
In another brief conversation with another co worker I brought up the fact that maybe part of the reason that California is broke is because it funds stuff like an official (get this) Office of Problem Gambling that operates on the taxpayers' dime.
The Office of Problem Gambling has a budget big enough to buy radio air time, billboard space, and pays for God only knows how many full time government workers and their benefit packages.
His response: Well, if the lottery caused all those problems then the government should do something to help those people.
It's the kind of invincible ignorance that makes want to dig a hole in the ground, and just scream into it. Multiply my brief encounters by several tens of millions, and you get an idea of what we're up against.

I hear you, jwm. What is appalling to me is how competent and intelligent these people in my class are and yet have completely bought into this Leftist nonsense. I got some hard stares from the "facilitators" when I said the presentation of my side in this class is loaded with straw-men. And then not two minutes later, one of them refuted my argument about wasted tax dollars in the DOD (for which I once worked as a contractor) with the question, "so, should we just dismantle the DOD?"
Help! I am not up to this! What does one do with such idiocy? Where do we begin? I know we can't start with "Obama is a Marxist intent on destroying this country." And I know we have to stay calm and common-sensical. But, the reputation of conservatism has been so damaged by the incessant drumbeat from the Left - racist, homophobic, stupid, greedy, nationalist, sexist, bloodthirsty, blah blah blah that I haven't a clue as to how to restore the credibility of our side as an alternative viewpoint. Where is WFB when we need him?Posted by Western Chauvinist at April 9, 2010 8:01 PM
I find it telling that this class you're attending is sponsored by the church. Prager makes this chilling point- For many many people the values of leftism seem to supersede the values of their religion.
That is- people begin with the leftist template as the foundation of their worldview, and then superimpose their religion over top of it. Hence you get "...do unto the least of these." as an argument for confiscatory taxation to support a welfare state. You get "...turn the other cheek" as an argument for pacifism. You get "Judge not lest ye be judged..." as an argument for moral relativism.
What we need are wedge points- arguments built from a simple, irrefutable premise, that, taken to their logical conclusion will overturn the specious crap that is the foundation of leftist/ collectivist thinking. I just wish I had the brains to think some up.
JWMPosted by jwm at April 9, 2010 8:26 PM
I've got to correct you on church sponsorship, jwm. This is a program developed under the auspices of an organization founded by a Liberation Theology advocate (this fact is almost certainly unknown to our parish priest and the local bishop - for now) . The Church (as in Catholic) doesn't sponsor it, but has provided the space and allowed the "facilitators" (gotta love the distortion of language with the Left) to promote it.
Some of us right-wing subversives are working on a response to present to the class. I'm also agitating among these people to form a program of our own and some of us have connections to the local bishop I hope to exploit. We've already collected Vatican statements in opposition to Liberation Theology and we'll be saving some of the Pope's statements as our "nuclear option."
I'm a huge Prager fan and I agree with his assertion that Leftism is a competing religion. This is an argument requiring lots of supporting evidence though. I think we have to use it just as someone is teetering on the cusp of conversion. As Dennis says, Bart Stupak is the poster boy.
I'm with you on the struggle to come up with the right arguments at the right time. That's why I'm out here trying to stir up the resistance. Come on, Gerard. We need reinforcements and intellectual ammo.Posted by Western Chauvinist at April 9, 2010 9:12 PM
Let's hear it for highly-associational minds:
Picture Barry Soetero, with his rudimentary knowledge of Koranic Arabic, trying to make sense of John Lennon singing "All we are saaaying ... is give peace a chaaance." Because peace (salaam) is the etymological root of Islam (Islam), what he hears - what most Muslims hear, no? - is "All we are saaaying ... is give *Islam* a chaaance."
Think about that, Ishmael, before you next share a bed with Queequeg.Posted by Jeremayakovka at April 10, 2010 1:45 AM
I'm at the point where I don't waste my time with those who still depend on the big leftist lie to support their concept of self. They are fully committed to enslaving themselves and I'm no liberator of the unwilling stupid. I haven't a dimes worth of mercy left to spare for their self-imposed plight.
However I do spend the time to speak with those who have been forced through personal circumstance to confront and question the veracity of their received worldview.
They are worth the effort and their numbers are increasing as the unsustainable model of order they took comfort in becomes a disruptive force in their lives and the lives of their families. There is a point during any fundamentally transformative experience when the form that is transpiring to be can go either way. Demoralization and servitude, or truth and light.
I still have faith that no amount of propaganda can convince a sane man that he should feel joy in someone kicking him in the balls. I'm just not convinced that enough people have been nut-sacked into the real world (yet) to reverse the flow of the red tide that is their very life's blood being wasted upon the ground.Posted by monkeyfan at April 10, 2010 7:05 PM
All my life, I have gone out of my way to avoid "end times" people because my mother was one of them and she was pretty nuts.
But now, damned if these things are not coming true.Posted by Mena at April 12, 2010 11:22 PM
Have you seen this site? It could help you with your ability to speak plainly and simply to the facist left. Yeah, yeah I know its put out by that far right radical organization "Focus on the Family"! (seesh when did the groups that want the best for the citizens become the enemy?)
