Democrat Representative Corinne Brown, a credit to her college, district and state, gradulates the Gators.
File under: "I try to become more cynical every day but lately I just can't keep up."
We note that Ms. Corrine Brown has received a Communications/Speech degree from Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, and later taught her newly acquired skills at the same institution.

Posted by: jwm at March 25, 2009 11:56 AMUh, we have a real problem here.
The moronic voters of Floriduh have cast their chit for a complete moron to represent them. Now I see how the likes of Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy and Chucky Schumer stay in office year after year after year.
If this isn't an advertisement for term limits than I don't know what is. In Ms. Brown's case, a term limit of a few hours wouldn't be out of bounds.
Now the real scary part, she crafts legislation that governs us all. The saving grace, I guess, may be that it wouldn’t make any sense.
If this is truly my elected representative, I shall be forced to de-fenestrate now. She be gradulatin like a tourretic schnauser.
Oy Veh.
If I lived a couple of miles north, Corrine would be my representative. All my Gator friends are starting at this Youtube at work today (of course I sent it to them first thing...), and are absolutely gobsmacked. It is impossible to overstate the degree to which she is completely untouchable politically in her district. Check out the Wiki on her, and draw your own conclusions.
These are the folks who are now completely in control of our country. Some choose to laugh, but I'm going to have a good cry, I think.
Where did she get that robe, for God's sake?
Co-rinne - Lord help us...
Posted by: mezzrow at March 25, 2009 3:12 PMHer occupation is listed as "college professor." I would have paid good money to be a fly on the wall during that interview. Yikes.
Affirmative Action?
Oh Please! Highlight the fact that this woman did not attend the U. of Florida.
Most people are aware that certain congressional districts in the South were designed to achieve particular results. Corrine Brown is a result.
Posted by: Oldflyer at March 25, 2009 6:31 PMHow does this woman remember to breathe? And why on earth do the voters in her district think it's a good idea to send her to Congress? Concentrated stupidity.
Posted by: waltj at March 25, 2009 7:31 PMi thot she was qite elokent
Posted by: jay at March 26, 2009 1:47 AMFrom her own bio:
Brown was educated at Florida A&M University where she received a bachelor's and master's degrees, and the University of Florida, where she was awarded an Education Specialist Degree. She received an Honorary Doctor of Law Degree from Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, and has been on the faculty at the latter two schools and at Florida Community College at Jacksonville.
This woman has a master's degree, and an "education specialist" degree, what ever that is. She's actually been on the faculty at Florida, too, if I read this right.
Wonder if she's acquainted with that dolt screaming "don't tase me bro!"?
And this woman voted on the stimulus bill, the bailout, and the budget.
I weep for this nation, I truly do.

Posted by: jmodden at March 27, 2009 3:33 AMRemember the old SNL bit, "Who's Dumber"? Corrine Brown vs Maxine Waters! We would all be dumber for watching it.
Posted by: Boots at March 27, 2009 10:31 PMAnd here I thought Patty Murray had a lock on the "Dumbest Person in Congress" title.
Congrats, Florida - you have once again proven why your inhabitants are incapable of manipulating a ballot properly (with apologies to those residents with an IQ over 86).
