I must be the most uninteresting person in the whole world, because I don't care much about movies (well ... not enough to actually pay money and go into a theater), and I can no longer identify any modern musical artist that I hear on the radio.

I see at least one movie at the movie house each week ... whether I want to or not. I was very glad to see a handful of them. Interesting vid.

I'm eager to see The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo but having read the book (and learned all I want to know about the leftist Swedish author) I fully expect it to be weird.

All of these movies require writers, editors, set designers, wardrobe designers, composers of music, etc. Thousands of people behind the scenes who obtained degrees in the liberal and fine arts. Who says you don't need the liberal arts today?

Also, most if not all of these films will be sold internationally. So you also need thousands of translators for subtitles and dubbing.
