Quisling Time: I've said it before and I'll say it again, "The Road to a Democrat Led Defeat of America Goes Through Afghanistan"

Leslie Gelb is "lost" and thinks Americans are "confused" about the stalling policy of Obama on Afghanistan:

Nothing significant has changed to account for the shift from Mr. Obama's confident policy proclamations to his temporizing statements of recent days. The president certainly understood before last week that the situation in Afghanistan was deteriorating. And he knew when he was inaugurated and when he first uttered his colorful "war of necessity" phrase that his party, and the public generally, were increasingly opposed to the war. == Leslie H. Gelb: Obama’s Befuddling Afghan Policy -

I'm not: The Road to a Democrat Led Defeat of America Goes Through Afghanistan @ AMERICAN DIGEST

Afghanistan deserves to be fought and won on its own terms, not as a stealthy way of retreating from the field altogether. Anybody who tells you the Iraq war is useless and Afghanistan is the "real" war is really telling you Afghanistan is just the long way home. Wagging our tails behind us.
In the Obama book still unpublished but being written day by day with the working title, Dreams of Myself, it's not enough to "transform" the American giant into a compliant second-rate nation, it must be gelded as well.

You getting tired of being right about all of this? Or is it as gratifying as I suspect?

A better title would be "My Struggle."

I'm getting kind of worried for some reason: Obama is turning out to be a caricature of what his detractors predicted he was going to be.

I'm not comfortable living in a cartoon.

Oh by the way, just another area where the Alinsky left and the jihadists lie to, to cheat, and to steal from the unbeliever in order to say 'we won', is absolutely fair game in the eyes of Allahinsky...

Here are my guesses.

O will withdraw totally from AF while saying something to the effect that his new strategy is far more brilliant than the old one.

The MSM will go further and say this is the most brilliant move of the 21st Century.

The present government in Pakistan will then be screwed. They won't get any help from us or anyone else although China will worry about its border with them. Some faction like the Taliban will gain power, but a military regime is also possible.

The government of Iraq may last but probably won't. Its enemies will conclude, IMO rightly, that they can attack from within and without.

Russia will absorb Georgia as a signal. And any American or western influence in central Asia will immediately evaporate. Who there will stick with a US that clearly won't help friends?

You simply cannot have a Marxist in the Oval Office and lead the world in a fight against a combination of covert communism and the rise of militant Islam - a very unholy and, to the uninformed, incredible alliance. Never before have the Left used such a powerful 'useful idiot' as militant Islam to further its cause, but it is doing it apparently without realising that Islam may consume it also, eventually.

We in the UK have experienced the worst decline in our culture and standing in the world following a a similar event in 1997, when a cabal of Marxists led the Long March of Antonio Gramsci's game plan into No.10 Downing Street. Blair conned the British electorate; Obama has conned the American electorate. Both were Trojan horses. The triumph of the heirs and successors of Gramsci; the Frankfort School; Alinski; Ayers et al means that the Long March has now penetrated the very heart of Washington, giving impetus to the Marxist dictators around the world who see America on the backfoot.

You either get rid of your current POTUS and his political thugs soonest, by electoral demand, or all the blood and treasure spent during World War II and the various engagements to contain and defeat communism since then will have been in vain.

Britain is already down the pan. Its sovereignty has been severely dissipated by the EU and unelected bureaucrats in Brussels; its Capital has been dubbed Londonistan because of its infiltration by Islamic subversives. A predicted change of government from New Labour to 'New Conservative' (probably infiltrated by Gramscian disciples also) will make very little difference. Our currency is under threat and may soon fall to the Euro - a Mickey Mouse currency. The financial and fiscal system has already been destroyed from within. We are no longer a reliable ally of the US.

You have time to rescue your country from a similar disaster to the one that has befallen ours. For God's sake get moving. It needs more than Glen Beck, who has (with a little help from his friends) made a good start. It needs gravitas, analysis and public explanation. As the MSM is part of the problem it can only be done on the blogs. Fox TV is having some success as the only outlet in that medium that has exposed some of the truth about Obama and his roots and even they are holding back much of what could be exposed, presumably because Murdoch wants to keep a get out card just in case the wind blows against him.

I posted messages like this on blogs various during the Presidential campaign, particularly on Melanie Phillips blog who is a prolific writer on the subject and as an apostate of the leftist creed knows what she is taking about. But I have been blogging about the counter culture threat since 2003. In fact I have been a close observer of Communism on the move since 1952 when as a radio intercept operator in the British Army (the "Y" Service - now known as GCHQ), I listened to the military, diplomatic and agitprop press propaganda spewed out by the USSR and its satellites. I later served in the London Metropolitan Police throughout the 1950s - 1980s and saw at very close quarters the organised subversion that took place through the counter-culture war that still thrives today.

The message must be sounded and writ large. Marxism is still on the move. It is Western Civilisation that is crumbling through the death watch beetle of covert communism and the death wish spider of the jihad that is rampant throughout its pillars. When the Iron Curtain was torn down, it provided opportunities for Marxism that were undreamed of throughout the cold war.

The British experience must be regarded as a terrible warning, my American friends. Heed it or follow us into the abyss. You have many fine writers and researchers over there who have exposed the truth of the Leftist threat, the host of this blog is a fine example: heed his words and use your votes in the mid-term elections to start the fight back. Time is short, use it well.

"[For Obama] it's not enough to "transform" the American giant into a compliant second-rate nation, it must be gelded as well."

Nope, I daresay increasing numbers of Americans are now more than ready to geld Obama instead.

Is it just me...or does Michelle Obama look more like a loudly-dressed Marie Antoinette with each passing day?

"Is it just me...or does Michelle Obama look more like a loudly-dressed Marie Antoinette with each passing day?"

I think it was one of the lady columnists of National Review, who nailed Michelle for me. She pointed out that her mouth and jaw were identical to Jane Fonda's; the sneering contempt and cruelty is manifest. I see what she saw. Perhaps there is something physiological as well as psychological about the chronic communism condition. Certainly the die-hards are all verrrrrry ugly; and after all it is the politics of envy. I am still aghast that the American public voted for these conspirators of the neo-Comintern; having always found in my travels around America that the general public are much more politically literate than my own compatriots. And as for Tony Blair making five figure sums for spieling his crap around the American rubber chicken circuit ... who attends these functions and why do they pay to hear him? He has now increased his ambit to global proportions, too. There is obviously no limit to the permutations of human perversity and credulity. The man is suited bullshit incarnate. Unbelievable!

Right on, Frank P. But Britain really does need to get rid of the Windsors and bring back the Tudors.

Secretary of Defense Bob Gates is in favor of the change in missile defense away from Eastern Europe towards Iran; It will be available sooner.

Gates is apparently still rethinking AfPak, and I don't think Obama will move until Gates makes up his mind. The deeper reason to be in AfPak is al-Queda. But the Iran-Russia-Syria et al alliance is probably more dangerous right now. So a stop-and-think could be the right thing to do.

After all, the resources now in AfPak might be needed to invade Iran.

Weakening America isn't a bug of liberal policy, it's a feature.

Are you using 'Weakening' as an adjective or a verb in that interesting comment; whichever, please elucidate, as it think it opens a useful debate.

Dopiest post of the week? Could be, but there are some strong contenders. Perhaps, because I am colour-blind, you see something I missed or vice versa? Analysis of physiognomy can be, like beauty, in the eye of the beholder.

Can we make mental health a cornerstone of whatever health care plan in decided upon? That way, people in need like Frank P., who suggests there is a 'Marxist' in the oval office, can get the help they so sorely need. The US Democratic Party is a right-of-center party in any country in the world.
