In 1957, Grace Braeger of West Bend traded in her old car, threw down $2,250 hard-earned dollars and bought a '57 Chevy. Since that day long ago, it's been her only car. "I was raised during the Depression and we learned to take care of things."

Posted by: james wilson at August 8, 2013 10:22 AMI love that! Looking for a late 50's model Chevy Pickup truck to rehab. It's going to be a retirement project with my little brother. After seeing this I may need to consider a car ... that chrome ... wow!

Thanks..
Posted by: Bill Henry at August 8, 2013 10:17 PMA lady after my own heart. I owned a '93 Dodge Intrepid, which I would cheerfully have driven until I died (and almost did when I fell asleep and totaled it).
They don't make 'em like this any more.
Posted by: creeper at August 9, 2013 7:13 AMI liked the fuel door in the rear tail light. Rear fuel door and fuel doors near electrical equipment didn't last too long.
