Something Wonderful: Cause summer's here and the time is right for slip-sliding on the grass!

And speaking of summer....

And, going out to all those boyz and gurlz in New York City:

And.... footage of the song being played by the Grateful Dead in San Francisco in 1967. I know it well because I was in the crowd.

If it were a competition, Martha and the Vandelles win, hands down. They're the better looking women. But I did like the slip n' slide video. Made me want to check my ankles just to see if they were still unbroken. (The year is only half-way done. It seems to be an annual event for me.)

Y'know what?
For this one day, I will focus on the true meaning of summer.
I will not let the toxic insanity of the news affect this warm sunny day in the southeast corner of Los Angeles County.
I'm gonna' go cruisin' on the bikecycle.
Maybe even stop at Coldstone for coffee ice cream.

Who's doing narration for the Dead clip - Jack Webb?

The narrator is Harry Reasoner.

He sounds depressed and bored by the sea of stinky deadheads.

Independence Day in a week.

Life's a blur any more.

You were there? Haha you dirty hippie! I went to 50+ Dead Shows in the 80's. Part of the quiet minority that had short hair and couldn't stand listening to the hippie blathering about one world. The shows were great fun though.
