Statism never sleeps.

Those bitter clingers seem to be holding out on Jefe Obama and his gang of Frito Banditos: AP 'Scoop,' Naively Reported: WH to Form 'Rural Council' -- As If Help Is Needed | NewsBusters.org

Of course, the ever-gullible Darlene Superville at the Associated Press is swallowing the White House line....

"President Barack Obama plans to create a special advisory council to recommend ways to boost the economic outlook and quality of life for the estimated 60 million people who live in rural areas of the U.S., a White House official said. The official asked not to be identified in order to speak freely

Classic I'm from the government and I'm here to help you. The only antidote for well-paid well-meaning smarmy types is unemployment (theirs). This is increasingly what elections are about--government employment of college mis-educated white people who don't know anything except how to vote, and black females.

The Founders had an uneasy inkling when they refused D.C. it's own government.

I can picture this unholy union: Grabbermint with Black Farmers' Union, on behalf of all farmers and backyard gardeners. Hmmm...

I see redistribution of land as a form of reparations payments in the future. But hey, why stop with the rural and Big Government Marriage Act, when there's the Department of Education and Storm Trooper Student Debt Collection Agency Marriage Act!
