It's "For the Planet!" World Bank to suggest CO2 levy on jet, shipping fuel | Energy & Oil | Reuters
BONN, Germany, June 5 (Reuters) - The World Bank will suggest a global levy on jet and shipping fuel in recommendations to G20 governments later this year on raising climate finance, a senior official said on Sunday....."We are looking at carbon emissions-based sources ... including bunker (shipping) fuels and aviation fuels, that would be internationally coordinated albeit nationally collected," said Andrew Steer, World Bank special envoy for climate change.
This is because.... because.... because the world's economy isn't shaky enough already and the "World Bank" needs to find ways to suck more blood out of healthy businesses and transfer it to various governments that otherwise couldn't pass a carbon tax nationally while diverting just a bit of that blood to the "World Bank" to keep paying parasites like Andrew Steer "special envoy for climate change?" Have I got that just about right?
