James Wolcott to Root for Earthquakes

awolcottasjabbatoad.jpg

The whole world waits for the King of the Combovers update on his famous "I root for hurricanes" sentiment. However, being a deballed tabby beard for a mannish wife might be straining his limited reserves of estrogen, so I'll help him out:

"I root for earthquakes. When, courtesy of the Weather Channel, I learn of one shaking in the ocean off the coast of Japan, I find myself longing for it to become big and strong—Mother Nature’s fist of fury, Gaia’s stern rebuke. Considering the havoc mankind has wreaked upon nature with deforesting, stripmining, and the destruction of animal habitat, it only seems fair that nature get some of its own back and teach us that there are forces greater than our own." -- James Wolcott. 2004 2011

I wonder what Alexander Wolcott would say about him.

Well, I guess that if you are going to go for the low hanging fruit (sorry, was that homophobic?) you should do it with language like this.
