For $663.8 billion We Get 2 Generals?

general_betray_us.jpg

Okay, we've got one known General out and one better-known General in.

So... taking the entire Armed Forces of the USA all in all the conclusion is that we've got only 2 (two) Generals capable of fighting wars like Afghanistan and Iraq?

Not what you'd call a "deep bench" is it? Sure hope we don't have a war erupt over Taiwan, in Korea, off the coast of Israel, or see the Mexican Civil War spill over the border. Don't you?

Source: Petraeus chosen to succeed McChrystal President Barack Obama will name Gen. David Petraeus to succeed Gen. Stanley McChrystal as top war commander in Afghanistan....

McChrystal had apologized for several disparaging remarks he made in an interview about his civilian superiors.

Humm, will Obama apologize to Petraeus for disparaging remarks made during the "General Betrayus" moment from several years back? Will "Bite Me" Biden apologize for declaring Petraeus' surge a "failure?"

Breath. Holding. Fergeddaboutit.

"..But that's not all. Call right now, and you can get General Motors for just an extra $62 Billion. But act now! This is a limited time offer. Shipping and Handling extra...."

Actually, it's 3 generals. Remember, General McKiernan got relieved not long after Obama took office.

Poor Petraus. Going from CENTCOM to Afghanistan is a come down. Sucks for him.

Eric: Isn't Petreaus now going to wear both hats, CENTCOM and Afghanistan?

Gerard: We have more than two competent generals, the problem is that with all said and done, Obumbler doesn't have a clue what to do and so, despite all the badmouthing of 2007-2008, he ironically has to turn to Bush and his general. None of the lefty generals are anymore savvy than the bumbler and this Administration probably hasn't bothered to learn the names of any of the others. Since Obama doesn't think anyone in the military could possibly have an IQ above an amoeba, he probably figured what's the difference. And, afterall, all those criticisms of Petreaus are already programmed into TOTUS and ready to go at a moment's notice.

Let me see if I understand this... A four star General, West Point graduate, is drinking beer with a reporter from Rolling Stone, but at the same time a Predator drone flown by a N.E.A. educated Lieutenant is remotely killing a high value target, along with the wife, three children, mother-in-law, grandmother, five neighbors visiting, and the dog. Now, a new four star General, who was accused of betraying America by a Democratic fund raising organization, is now in charge of buying Russian helicopters for the Afghan Air Force whose pilots are being trained in America, but have mostly gone AWOL after they went to their very first strip bar. Is that about it?

He's got it. By George, I think he's got it.

The value of loyalty and truth are relative only to utility on the left.

Actually, I'm encouraged by the short list, since Political Reliability
is the 1st priority for a BHO appointment of any sort.

Not too many active 4-stars will serve as "prostitute generals" for this CINC.

Sure they will. They all will. That's how they get four stars. Casey, the Army Chief of Staff, is representative of the breed.

In any event, it doesn't matter. The Taliban knows it just needs to hang on until December of next year, and it is home free.

We have an enemy who swears before its dead prophet and god of the pit to kill our countrymen and enslave the world. Now, no one loves discussing command chain protocols more than I do, but let's do it tomorrow ... if we're not dead.

In the meantime, give me the launch codes dammit.
