Obama bombs people peacefully and with the very best of liberal intentions. What a wonderful man we have in the White House now who doesn't bother with the pedestrian concerns of US national interests before killing people who present us no threat. It's all for the good of the world, after all.

This looks like a Democrat style 15,000' war. No body count 'cause we can't see them. No reportage to annoy us since they're state owned. When asked whodunit, the WON smirks and points to Sarkozy, saying "It's the Frenchies fault!"

He'd certainly love to blame the Queen of England, if he could.

When is the dandy that we have as a president going to get his butt back to the US and convince Congress to pass a war resolution. His complete disdain for the Constitution should now be clear even to the enraptured morons who voted for him. If Boner and the Republican majority in the House had any nads they'd stop all funding for the illegal and unconstitutional action taken by our military in firing 110 cruise missiles into Libya, even if it meant shutting down the government. We've wasted enough treasure and lives in the past 25 years trying to help a bunch of barbarians following a psychotic 7th century pedophile.

We've got to wonder what pushed Big O off onto this course of action, so contrary to what we've previously seen. Who got to him? What arguments persuaded him? How does this align with how we have seen him behave previously? I can't believe it is merely political.

I'm proud of our MSM. Never have so many journalists been embedded in such tight quarters -- Obama's ass.

Obama is now clearly a war criminal. He has violated the U.S. Constitution, and the War Powers Act in his obedience to the United Nations. He has done this while our Congress is in recess!!

Meanwhile he has taken his family and gone to Brazil to party.

Where is the outrage from those liberal dimwits now?

The Libyan attack isn't a "third war." It is the third theater of operation in a single war.

Gerard,

Where did that cartoon come from? It looks like something out of Le Monde or Liberation.

"The Libyan attack isn't a 'third war.' It is the third theater of operation in a single war."

You're not supposed to notice that. Only the credentialed historians are allowed to notice that...and then only after 100 years have passed. :-)

But more seriously, although I agree that it makes sense to think of it as another theater in a larger war, I'm not so sure about the sides involved. Remember the Spanish Civil War in which the dominant factions were socialists vs. fascists (national socialists)? That was a war in which one could wish both of those factions to lose, and I have similar doubts about Libya. Will the Libyan "Arab Street" prove to be mostly a more populist islamo-fascism?

So:

We're going to the aid of Muslims who are being slaughtered by fellow Muslims -- who don't care that they're slaughtering fellow Muslims -- with no intention of taking down the head bad guy who has killed some of our people. If we did take him down, Lybia would turn into a vibrant liberal democracy, right? Wrong.

So, tell me that we just needed to recalibrate our Tomahawk missiles under realistic conditions, and maybe I can see some sense in all this.

Cartoon origin? Sorry, don't really know. Just something in my graphics files which exceed 30,000 images. I've just lost track.

Look behind the curtain. Start by looking at the banks. Ten times the actual amount of oil used in the world changes hands on the futures market daily, in what amounts to a rigged game. Our "bailouts" are bankrolling the game, and our tax dollars are being used to back the bets because the players are "too big to fail". Washington and MSM are bought and paid for. That's just for starters.

"I've just lost track."

Been there. :-D

Gerard, you can edit the properties of a jpg file to specify author, title, description, and keywords. I keep telling myself I should do this to keep track of the origins of downloaded files, but keep forgetting.
