Dollars to doughnuts the singer is Oriental, maybe even Japanese. Too darn bad the poster of the video didn't give the credits for the recording.

Nice. Clean.
Right behind me stands a mint condition Pioneer RT-1020L Reel to Reel with 10" reels, and all the proper stuff to accompany it.

Hale: Astrud Gilberto is not Asian.

This is too much production for me. I like Getz & Gilberto's "Girl from Ipanema"

Hale, you owe me doughnuts:

Astrud Gilberto (born March 29, 1940) is a Brazilian samba and bossa nova singer. She is best known for her performance of the Grammy Award-winning song "The Girl from Ipanema".

Bought one in the Tan Son Nhut BX, got it safely back, enjoyed it for years, gave it to my starving band leader grandson (along with a top of the line tuner and turntable); he hocked them. Everyone should have grandchildren.

Fortunately Jim can't hear this. But maybe he did, maybe that's why he's gone.

They were great but the extension cord and backpack were a bitch when I went for a walk.
