Sneak Peak: Newsweek to Continue Ground Breaking Studies of Weird Sources of Racism

Last Week in Newsweek and Next Week in Newsweek.

Racist Baby? authors Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman clairify the Baby bit in NurtureShock : How We Got Pulled Into a War Between Rush Limbaugh and Maureen Dowd

Third, we never meant to provide any fodder for the divide between Republicans and Democrats, or liberals and conservatives. The science suggests liberal white parents are just as guilty of speaking in code to their children about race as conservative white parents. This is a concern that ought to be owned up to equally, on both sides of the aisle.
Perhaps with their groundbreaking research on the President Racist? cover story they will fill us in on whether or not "liberal black parents are just as guilty of speaking in code to their children about race as conservative black parents."

A concerned Newsweek readership of 5 breathlessly awaits.

Update from Victor Davis Hanson's Works and Days:

What, then, is behind the “racist” charge?

Let us count the strategies in calling wolf, wolf.... Racist! supersedes the real problem of class. In today's multiracial society, class is no longer predicated on race. The elite Stanford students of color I encounter during the week are far more privileged than many poor whites I see in the southern San Joaquin Valley on weekends. Asians have higher per capita incomes than Californians at large. I am here at Hillsdale for four weeks of teaching, and, to engage in stereotyping, the poorer whites of southern Michigan (and almost everyone of the proverbial middle and lower middle class here) seem to be far worse off economically than their counterparts, or indeed Hispanics in general, in a Selma or Reedley in central California, in a state that is literally bankrupt. -- Works and Days » A Devolving, Depressing, and Debased Debate

The law of unintended consequences has kicked in for me. This is a process designed to make us passive. OMG it's true! I am a racist! I had impure thoughts. How many Hail Michelles should I say? Where can I contribute my portion of reparations?!

Unfortunately, for the you have sinned crowd, when this slavery thing was going on, my ancestors were running for their lives around the Ukraine just slightly ahead of the Russkies. My Lithuanian grandmother's sister was gang raped by Russian soldiers. All European members of my family who didn't leave when my grandparents did were killed by Hitler.

I have my own story to tell just as valid as the one of any other American and we came to America to be free. This steady drip drip drip of implied or overt labels of racism is an attempt at emotional and psychic control is as much slavery as any other kind because it denies you free thought and free action.

How about this for the next issue: "Is your average Newsweek reader a f**king idiot? Because Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters informs us of this article “Play the Race Card,” writes, in which the noname (black female):

Let me say this clearly so there are no misunderstandings: some of the protests against President Obama are howls of rage at the fact that we have an African-American head of state. I’m sick of all the code words used when this subject comes up, so be assured that I am saying exactly what I mean.

Ms. Whoeveryouare: Let me say this clearly so there are no misunderstandings: You are a mental midget. Your depth of thinking and reasoned analysis is so shallow that an ant can’t even drown in it. Your educational and professional background is of no consequence. You’re a mindless liberal robot who lives in a liberal bubble. You have been successfully programmed not to use an ounce of intellect to debate an issue, but simply to shout names like “racist” at your ideological opponents. Sorry, toots. That might work at your pathetic excuse for a magazine, but not in the real world where real ideas translate to real actions and result in real consequences.

@$$h0L3$ all! So, lemme get this straight, Gerard:
If I point out that our Halfrican-American Kendonesian president's economic VOODOO policies will send us back into the stone aged success that is Zimbabwe, I'm a racist? Well, then...if it be racism...MAKE THE MOST OF IT.

We've had more than a few shitty white presidents and just one shitty black president so far.

Moral cowardice, dishonesty and fecklessness has no color.

A transparent lie is, by definition, clear.

Is yo' mama racist?

The current carpet bombing of "We The People" with The Race Card(TM) by the Corruptocrats and their minions is little more then their last and oh so desperate attempt to beat us into submission.

I have a news flash for them...

It isn't working.

In fact all you done is succeeded in building a fire. One that will, in the end, consume you and your agenda. All that will be left will be ashes that will be dumped on the ash heap of history.
