If I’m ever hurt, I want this guy to drive

Talk about focus....

This guy is good! Like a good chess player he thinks many moves ahead and anticipates others' moves.

When I was a krankenwagen driver in germany in the 70's turning the lights and siren on was only a *request* for the right of way rather than a demand, so seeing 5 steps ahead was mandatory.

Wildflecken to Wurzburg = 52 miles in 26 minutes, world record.

If I'm ever hurt, I hope the hospital is closer.

Hot Light came on! Only minutes to get there!

I served as chaplain of a sheriff's department for seven years. Took many right-seat rides like this, only not through such heavily built up areas.

And sirens and flashers are only requests for the right of way here, too.

Leaving an accident scene for the hospital where the victim (15 years old, very sad) had just died, I was in my own car and followed a patrol car at 100-plus mph down a section of interstate.

The look on drivers' faces after we passed them was priceless.

But I learned early that when the sheriff's dept. called me, it meant somebody died or was about to.

That driver has nerves of steel, skills of a surgeon.
Threading the needle like he did is fantastic.

Yeah, skeeter, it seemed like the hospital was in another county.

Look at the license plates, this appears to be in a foreign country.

It's in Hungary. I couldn't read any of the street signs, but the word "busz" painted on some of the center lanes means "bus" in Hungarian.

If I was hurt, and he was driving, I would die of a hear attack. However, I must admit, I respect is driving acumen.

A great deal must be said for the civilized nature of the driving public. Overwhelmingly, drivers moved out of the way for the ambulance.

I've seen situations, in other cultures, where the standard procedure is almost the opposite.

It's Budapest by the way. I figured it out using Google Maps. He starts in District XIV and ends up in a nice area called Rozsadomb.

Here's the spot on the map where he is at 5:11 in the tape. It's called Beski Way.,19.039765,3a,75y,187.26h,70.02t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sAs9RRq5A3SpVUVR6M_gQGQ!2e0!6m1!1e1
