Handy Hints from Hillbuzz

The corrupt media has a constant agenda to help Barack Obama

The reason Obama won in 2008 was because so many white people wanted to feel good about themselves and prove they were not racist that the raced to vote in the first black president.  They were thrilled to do it and wanted to make history.  At the same time, there was a giant slice of Republicans who didn’t like McCain and also somewhat didn’t feel good about standing in the way of the first black president.  So they let Obama win, thinking it would not be that bad.  They joked "What'€™s the worse than can happen?  He can'€™t be worse than Carter!"€.
There'€™s no pressure for suburban white people to prove they aren'€™t racist again by re-electing President Disappointment.  At the same time, those Republicans who stupidly sat the election out in 2008 aren'€™t going to do that again.  If someone is sitting out this year too, that person is just brain dead.  AND that person just wants negative attention and is likely to never vote.  Ignore that person from now on.
Blacks are the most racist voters in this country at the moment and will indeed support Barack Obama in the 90-100% range…but how many will really turn out on Election Day? They won’t vote AGAINST Obama, but they might not bother to go vote for him.

Or instead of brain dead, I refuse to vote for socialism light.

Fuck this guy at the hill buzz. He's so deep in the sphincter of .GOV that he can't see there is a whole country out here that is trying to distance themselves from anything coming out of DC.

I'm not voting for the lesser of two evils. If that means 0 wins. That's not my problem, I've withdrawn my consent to be governed in the only way that is still legal. I'm not voting. I still pay my taxes only because I have no choice. Be thankful I haven't resorted to 2nd Amendment Remedies.

What a sad comment. I WILL vote for the lesser of two evils because the greater evil will destroy us all!

To me the interesting question is, why do they allow themselves to become corrupt. That they are is evident. That they deny it, at least to us, is more puzzling. Are they that blind? Do they think we are?

What is the advantage? Do they fear an oncoming apocalypse, and so seek to cling to the strong man on a horse?

Or have they always been this way? Starting out as bright-eyed, enthusiastic, with youthful vigor, on a mission to change the world? One time-honored path to corruption is to think that you know what is right. Validation that you are right is that others agree with you. What good is the power of the press if you can't force people's minds to change?

Cris is right. The actual differences between the parties and candidates are wafer thin. It is all the same Washington Establishment. They rely on us to vote for 'the lesser of two evils.'

I have no power to change The Regime, but I refuse to add legitimacy to it.

Why should the Federal politicians act any different from State and local governments? The Feds all came from their state and local early-career stepping stones. That's why there's not a dimes worth of difference between the two Parties.

The nature of these "public servants", these guys we hire to do a couple of dirty jobs for us, is all the same. They just hate doing the dirty jobs. There's no glory in it, no adulation, no obsequious constituency. It's much more fun spending your money on their friends, on high-visibility feel-good "improving the community" stuff. That's the difference between the parties: which "friends" get to squander the "surplus" wealth of the country.

And when the downturn comes and tax receipts dry up, what always takes the hit: you know it, the essential dirty jobs that are the underpinnings of our civil society.

No politician of any stripe or level will vote for the piecemeal or wholesale disestablishment of the entitlement nation. They won't, they can't, they will let the place burn to the ground before they ever vote to stop giving your money away to their sycophants. They will lay off every walking-the-beat cop, turn off the street lights, stop collecting garbage, let the potholes grow, parole the prisoners, let the public utilities fall into ruin from deferred maintenance. The Courts will become a joke, justice for sale, every law-abiding citizen a mark, and persecution of those with the means to pay fines. Businesses will be hit with fines, fees, regulations, unfunded mandates, mandated benefits, inspection, reporting and periodic re-certification requirements. All to keep the growing hordes of government employees with something to do, and dependent on the politicians for a job.

First Motown, then Philly, then Chi-town. California. The path is clear, the good people leave when the civil society starts fracturing. The downfall accelerates. The United States may catch up and overwhelm them all.

I'm sorry, but I have no hope. Every dime of deficit spending that the Usurper has added, will not be rescinded by the next regime. They will grimly hang on and look for an economic miracle, but none will come. Gabriel and Moroni have hung up their wings and left us to our well-deserved fate. No more miracles, the gods' work is done and it's our time now.

These politicians we foolishly elect will spend us into ruin. The hordes who have given up and live on the public dole will grow. It is a bubble, and all effort will be to keep that bubble intact.

There is only one peaceful way outta here. Every incumbent in this election must lose. And the next election. And the next. They must know that they cannot be re-elected by passing out goodies. The politicians must once again learn, that elected office is nothing but a dirty job, somebody's gotta do it, there's no glory, it's not a career, and they'll never get rich except in spirit from the satisfaction of a dirty job well done. The chance of this happening: zip.
