After today, at least two people need to take the next bus home. John Edwards, just on general principles, and Ron Paul who has been exposed for what reasonable people of all political persuasions sensed he was all along -- a bigoted, twisted whacko.
Today's expose by The New Republic (Angry White Man) pulls hard to find documents into the light. What picture do they print of Paul? Not pretty. Not pretty at all. Here's a snippet:

That's "King" as in Rev. Martin Luther King.
Now I can understand the passion of many of Paul's supporters for his "ideals" since they so carefully and cleverly map to a lot of well-meant Libertarian ideals. But as the record now shows, that's not all that's hiding inside our contemporary political version of Uriah Heep. (And I'm not talking about the rock band, kids.)
You can support a candidate "warts and all," but not "oozing pustules and all." This is a diseased candidate and a swift turning to a decent candidate by his supporters is the cure. Those that stick around after this deserve the castigation and shunning that is sure to come their way.
