Stereotypes on Parade! "Anytime you see black folks on the news,
they have no teeth. And the teeth that they have have gold around them
and they can't put a sentence together." -- Whoopi Goldberg at about 1:40.
Television's longest running hen party, The View, had the long-awaited gab fest with Michelle Obama. High up in the moisture rating was co-host Whoopi Goldberg in her biggest television role since Hollywood Squares. Goldberg gave a stunning performance of panting Obamathrall that did everything except fog the lens of the camera.
More disconcerting still was Goldberg's compulsion to peek under the table and up Michelle Obama's skirt (See around 2:43 in this video).... Twice.
I realize that Whoopi was a fatherless child, but certainly somebody should have told her that peeking under a table and up a skirt (especially one that is, as Michelle confesses, without panythose) is not acceptable in polite society.
Posted by Vanderleun at June 18, 2008 11:16 AM | TrackBackLet's see if I get this right; Michelle was never proud of America before Barack ran for president. Whoopi Goldberg never saw an attractive black woman on TV before Michelle. Does this mean we can finally be proud of TV?
Posted by: Gagdad Bob at June 18, 2008 12:01 PMI see at 1:30 Whoopi did something that the DailyKOS kids would describe as "smearing all black women as having bad teeth." It's only a matter of time before they find out. My best wishes to Whoopi as she does her best to outrun the hounds.

Posted by: vanderleun at June 18, 2008 12:51 PMI wonder if Whoopi found any gold teeth under there?
Posted by: andy at June 18, 2008 2:28 PMNow that's rude.

Posted by: vanderleun at June 18, 2008 3:37 PMAnd I was so proud of myself for that one.

If Whoopi is there, then it's not polite society.
