Jefferson Robbins of Film Freak Central contemplates Mad Men and concludes, "The only thing left for me to discuss is the hidden star of the show, something designed to go unnoticed unless you squint." The result is this compelling and illuminating exploration of the cinematography.

Posted by: sTevo at August 13, 2009 6:37 PMThis video confirms that you can learn more by ignoring the minute-by-minute news/info channels and randomly choosing topics and gaining depth in them. Eventually what you learn from an expert in a field, any field really, will be key in understanding some current event or topic. Using this wide and deep method, rather than the frequent and shallow method of mass media, you are less prone to media hysterias of the moment. Three cheers for the internet and podcasts.
Viva Gerard for bringing us such gems.
