Gronsky said to Stalin, ”You know, Iosif Vissarionovich, our farmers are dying here — millions of them.”  Stalin replied, “Let them die, they’re just trying to sabotage us.”

Think of that the next time you see Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, Adam Schiff, Don Lemon, Rachel Maddow or any of the other demagogues, miscreants, windbags and lickspittles of Progressivism calling for Donald Trump to be brought down and destroyed. Is it any wonder they hate President Trump with such relentless venom? He is our best, perhaps even our last, hope to sabotage them. The Progressives appear crazy but are not mad — they are just Progressives. Kulak is the Russian Word for ‘Deplorable’ – American Thinker

Boomer-Os Killed The Summer Job Star – I note that support for explicitly socialist government is growing by leaps and bounds. Some of my friends think this is because the Millennials are stupid. “Don’t they know that they won’t be the people who benefit from a communist government?” This is what I think the proto-socialists have figured out:

* In the event of a Red Revolution in this country, they have a very slim chance of becoming part of the nomenklatura who have power, real estate, and freedom to determine their own lives.
* If there is no Red Revolution, they have precisely zero chance of ever owning a home, saving for retirement, or starting a traditional family.

This is where the situation in our country becomes dangerous. As long as there is some chance of succeeding in the current state of affairs, people will generally play along. If you take away all of their hope, they have nothing to lose. Talk about bread lines and mending old clothes doesn’t frighten people who have already internalized the fact that they will be earning close to starvation wages for their entire lives. This is particularly true if they have no children who would be at risk. It’s a roll of the dice for them and things can only come up better.

SNL: John Mulaney Jokes That Senators Should Stab Trump Like Julius Caesar “It is a Leap Year, as I said. Leap Year began in 45 B.C. under Julius Caesar. This is true, he started the Leap Year in order to correct the calendar, and we still do it to this day. Another thing that happened under Julius Caesar, he was such a powerful maniac that all the senators grabbed knives, and they stabbed him to death. That would be an interesting thing if we brought that back now.

UCLA BANS all single-use plastics The new policy will ultimately remove all single-use plastics ranging from cups and cup lids, plastic bags, utensils, bowls, and other “food accessory” items. The goal for UCLA is to have every dine-in or take-out restaurant, dining halls, events, and even departmental meetings move away from plastics completely and begin using locally compostable or reusable alternatives…. “It will be challenging,” Kikei Wong, UCLA’s Zero Waste Coordinator addressed. “There are so many single-use plastics everywhere in our lives that we depend on for convenience, but for the planet, this is the next step that we have to take.”

The First Man to Reach the North Pole was an African American Desk Clerk the World Forgot

“[The flag] snapped and crackled with the wind, I felt a savage joy and exultation […] Another world’s accomplishment was done and finished, and as in the past, from the beginning of history, wherever the world’s work was done by a white man, he had been accompanied by a colored man. From the building of the pyramids and the journey to the Cross, to the discovery of the new world and the discovery of the North Pole, the Negro had been the faithful and constant companion of the Caucasian, and I felt all that it was possible for me to feel, that it was I, a lowly member of my race, who had been chosen by fate to represent it, at this, almost the last of the world’s great work.”

– Matthew Henson, A Negro in the North Pole (1912)

I got served with divorce papers from my evil first wife on the ides of March. Still one of my favorite days.

The UCLA “death to plastics” ideal can be achieved with just 3 simple steps:
    (1) all comers are required to own a tin cup and mess kit — no kit, no kibble,
    (2) all food will be served from large pots or steam tables in a traditional “chow line,”
    (3) menu items will be limited to those which can be slurped from a cup, or eaten with chopsticks.

I wonder about their definition of non-reusable plastics. You know the cheap plastic bottles that bottled water comes in? I reuse a couple of them every day, refilling them from the water fountain. I’ll reuse each one for maybe a year before I replace it. Because I’m trying to “save the planet”? Hell no. Because I’m cheap!

About ten years ago I was in a cafeteria and they had these plastic spoons which are made partly from corn starch or fiber, and are supposedly biodegradable. Out of curiosity I took two of them home with me, just to see how long they would last. I used one to stir my creamer into my coffee and to scrape coffee grounds out of my coffee press. It lasted for ten years with daily use until finally the handle broke a couple of days ago. I have now switched to that second “biodegradable” spoon that I took home ten years ago. Why would they claim that these are not reusable?
