I don’t doubt that graph but the decline could be due to the fact that peeps is waking up to the absolute danger of creating and raising small children in a world gone wrong. Thank you for that compliment, I appreciate it more than you could know. But rather than thinking of the joy I would experience with grands, I am thinking of them and their souls. I wasn’t even aware that I was paying attention to what was going on in the US but I was attentive during the early 1960s and my concern for politics and social trends and events began during those years, (I was born in 1950).
I’ve always paid attention and the older I get the more I become convinced that nearly every social and political trend in life, particularly going forward, is more dangerous and more likely to cause social and mental distress than anything in our past. And, unfortunately, these things are being fostered and implemented by our own government and we can’t do anything about them. The guys who frequent this site are always discussing them and everyone, though not necessarily afraid, is troubled by what goes on because as men, we are very aware of our impotence in the face of it all.
I’m pretty certain that my two daughters, as well as my 2 step daughters and 5 nieces, never give a single thought to what is occurring in America and when I occasionally ask them if they heard ‘this’ or ‘that’, they say no and that they don’t want to hear about it, either. So, I do what papa’s do and make gentle suggestions that they should think carefully before they choose an ocean they think they want to cross but even more carefully about the boat they want to cross it in. There is no riddle in that advice.
