Not Man Apart
Then what is the answer?– Not to be deluded by dreams.
To know that great civilizations have broken down into violence,
and their tyrants come, many times before.
When open violence appears, to avoid it with honor or choose
the least ugly faction; these evils are essential.
To keep one’s own integrity, be merciful and uncorrupted
and not wish for evil; and not be duped
By dreams of universal justice or happiness. These dreams will
not be fulfilled.
To know this, and know that however ugly the parts appear
the whole remains beautiful. A severed hand
Is an ugly thing and man dissevered from the earth and stars
and his history… for contemplation or in fact…
Often appears atrociously ugly. Integrity is wholeness,
the greatest beauty is
Organic wholeness, the wholeness of life and things, the divine beauty
of the universe. Love that, not man
Apart from that, or else you will share man’s pitiful confusions,
or drown in despair when his days darken.

Where the Sidewalk Ends
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we’ll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we’ll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

Rogan touched briefly on it when he spoke of evil’s influence.
Maya Angelou is famous for saying, “When a person shows you who they are, believe them the first time.”
Cited Angelou quote attribution found in ensuing link. Stupidity doesn’t necessarily preclude evil.

The putrid… why can’t everyone smell the cesspool? Remember Nancy ripping up Trump’s SOTU speech? One would think her elbow into the little girl’s ribs would make people sit up and notice. Her husband’s drunken vineyard fiasco required a couple of weeks to even produce a mugshot. Biden is going to bestow the Medal of Freedom to a virtuous negro who takes a knee and hates America. Here’s an interesting summary of how freedom has been snatched away and replaced by a mere promise of safety. I don’t agree with this guy saying Trump isn’t owned… or crypto is shaking the foundation of fiat currency… but still a pretty good observation of the clueless slaves who think everything is fine. https://gab.com/TommyRobinsonOfficial/posts/108582752951808430
Okay…. not a negro… but I don’t know what it is.

“Life is the most important thing in life.”
=========
That’s it’s quote of the day.
Inspiring, no?
It’s big deal is pro-choice.
It says everyone should be against the supreme courts choice.
Especially men.
But at the end of the day that flawed thing is just a “clump of cells”.
As I’ve often said, “Drag it and burn it, with diesel.”
It’s coming and I hope I live long enough to witness it and maybe participate.
My quote of the day:
“If the medal of honor is given by a criminal it is no honor at all.”
–gs, 2099
What you’re looking at there is a Witch. It’s that simple.
Or a Spiteful Mutant if you want to sound up-to-date about it. A healthy society would not carry the burden of its genes further and would (at the very least) segregate it so that it cannot spread its perverted ideas and behaviours further and corrupt the impressionable (Social Epistasis Amplification Model).
Redding Calif couldn’t be prouder of their own Robert Rapone, or is it Megan.
Don’t know what it is, but my spider senses tell me something evil coming our way, on this most important day in the US.
We are headed to Top Gun again, I’m sliming down, a red doted Glock 19, with only two twenty rounder mags as backup. Not the normal 3. Shorts and a polo,,, crocs,,,,,,, hiding everything’s work at that point.
I really enjoyed topgun two, the first time. Always catch cool stuff the second time thru.
Lose the crocs. Wear working shoes/boots. Otherwise, A-OK.
I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on TWO lightly used glocks, registered to someone other than me.
Right out of the boxes they’ll be dropped on the gravel driveway and kicked around a bit, to clean off the “newness”. Then they will go to the bench and lose a few ounces on the grinder-polisher-stippler, be overall smoother, lighter, faster. Just like the S&W M+P I’ve been carrying. 2 mags on the left. Vedder OWB coyote kydex. https://www.vedderholsters.com/prodraw/
I love my Crocs…..got ’em on as I write. We’re sorta Japanese around here and don’t wear shoes indoors. Also, our home is about 80% tiled and I rarely step into the bedrooms that are carpeted. I’m okay for a day or two, but any more than that and I find that my feet hurt being on these hard surfaces that much. So my Crocs (worn only in the house) keep whatever dirt my outdoor shoes might have out of the house while allowing my feet some comfort.
@Dirk
I’m certainly in the minority, but I can’t say that I’m a big fan ofTop Gun Maverick. Not that it was a bad movie…..Cruise did a good job of repeating his role and I really admire his refusal to send it to a Covid-induced streaming service. If you’re going to see it, you deserve it to yourself to see it on a big screen. Also, his tribute to Val Kilmer was top notch. But for me, the flying sequences were more Hollywood than real flying.
Az libertarian, top gun, no worries about quality content. I worked the decks on the Coral Sea and the Kitty Hawk. So maybe I have a different connection. Every hand movement is a language all to itself. The flight decks an exciting place.
As for the Russian SU -57 video, my friend that’s real deal Gen 5 Russian aircraft. I’ve been following the SU57 “ for@few years now. I’ve watched the vids of the 57 at the Paris air show other world class air shows.
The flying we’ll tumbling viewed is real, Russia has only a dozen maybe a few more active 57’s.
Literally that much better then the SU29s or the 31’s others in that line. I think NATO refers to the SU-57 as code name “Assassin”. Could be wrong.
Most of the flying the G’s were real, clearly camera’s did photos Shopping on the close in stunts.
Croc’s, if the Vietcong could win the war in slippers, I’ll continue to wear my crocs. Actually it’s a medical issue. I already have a fake left hip. When I kneel down to tie my boots, my hip feels like it’s going to pop out of socket. Never has, just terrific pressure felt.
Never an issue, just painful, but I’ve had the left fake hip for 13/14 years now. I get a new right hip replacement this august 29th. I can’t wait, the pain is major.
Holsters, ghost think you’ve made a fine holster choice. Anymore all the “ Dick” carry holsters are similar, all I’ve used are outstanding. I prefer horse leather, but kydex gets the job done.
I will review your brand, im not familiar with them. I need a new Glock 43 and a Glock 48 holster. Both will be dick carry. Except for my last two glock21 and 30, everything’s wearing red dots.
My eyes are aging, I have a difficult time picking up the front sight anymore. The red dots give me back my speed.
Ghost thanks for the link.
Dirk
I understand about the crocs. I also understand the hips. For 40+ years I’ve been haunted by 7 pelvis fractures from a parachute fall in 1975. So far everything is still working as should for the most part.
Vedders makes each holster by hand so don’t expect next-day amazon service. The kydex I have for my S&W is super fast yet holds very securely. Never having kydex before security was my concern. Also, premature/accidental firing. The trigger is covered by the kydex, accident can’t happen. Well, I guess an idiot can make anything happen. lol I’m getting a couple more of the holsters.
We have a saying around here, “Red dots don’t lie.”
After learning my friends glock 19 with a holosun I became a believer.
100% faster to get on target. Put the dot on the mark and Bob’s yer uncle, every time.
Alarmingly, so much to reply to….
– The purpled haired Kneeler gets a freedom medal? FFS. Traitor.
– 20 round mags in a Glock 19 are going to stick WAY out. Sound like a G17 mag with extensions. My church carry is a G17 with three factory 17 rounders stuffed with 16 each.
-Crocks? Yikes. You guys need some steel toe engineer boots. Wear those with shorts and nobody will question your manhood. Possibly your sanity but not your manhood.
-TOP GUN II. Azlib is a C130 veteran henceforth would know about flying better than us ground dwellers. Ghost only jumped out of airplanes, don’t think he flew any. I want to be entertained, so my crew: me, wife and two high schoolers, went to see the movie twice! All I know is that if I was flying, Goose would still be alive… I stole that line.
-Pelosi. Only God can judge, but if I could take that bet to Vegas I’d put $100 on Pelosi getting a one-way H ticket down when she croaks.
KH. The stupid runs deep with this one. The more you think about it, the more you realize she was the perfect fit for Biden. It’s rather uncanny; like a novel or a movie casting.
I for one never carry. Never, never, ever. Nope.
I don’t own any, how you say, “guns.” What are these “Glocks” of which you speak?
Goodness, aren’t those thingies awful scary and loud and bang-y? Gives me shivers.
If I was to carry a “gun,” which I never would ’cause I don’t own any, it would probably be a Springfield Armory Officer’s Model 1911, which I hear is kind of nifty, being small but ballistically potent, even with the short pipe. Unfortunately, it’s been discontinued, so it’s a good thing that I would have got my hands on it a couple years ago, if I could have, I mean. Not that I did. Because I don’t own any “guns.” I especially don’t own any if the ATF or FBI asks about it.
Nosiree, not me. Nuh-uh. No “guns” here.
No question about it Steve, if you’re going to own and particularly if you carry, you absolutely must know your limitations.
Me, I love Kimber 1911s in any caliber but I have a preference for .45 ACP. It’s a great caliber for year round use and my old and intimate standby is a Raptor with a shorter barrel. Very accurate and particularly great for carrying in cold weather. For the warmer months I usually pack my Browning 1911 in .380 with PD loads. Keep them clean and close. Having one at hand means you never have to say you’re sorry.
