In passing let’s remember what Cultural Offering makes clear, the reasons for relying on any gigantic platform are exactly

Zero. . .

Zero… credibility for Snopes, the mainstream media, Facebook, Twitter, and Google.

It is gone.

You can despise Donald Trump and still understand that Big Tech and the media have destroyed their credibility.

I could dedicate this blog to embarrassing example after embarrassing example but you don’t need that; you already know. Ill-trained, unedited hacks.

Let’s find reliable outlets for information, and not deceive ourselves anymore. Honest debate without politically charged accusations.

    ZERO. . .

Only a total fool would not agree. And it is apparent our nation is close to 50% TOTAL FOOLS / IMBECILES / SLAVE material.

    Amen to that!

Maybe I’ve been to a funeral, that no one told me about.
Lately I’ve been uninspired by most things internet.
    News?
    There ain’t none.

Remember back when news came on TV at 6pm with the first half hour local stuff, then at 6:30 Rather and Brokaw and Jennings hit us with their best shot for all the world to see? They only had half an hour to deliver the message so there was no room for wasted words.

When I was a kid the news was sort of a religion in our house. Kids weren’t allowed in the living room when the news was on. Sometimes, after the news, in the summer, when us kids were riding bikes and throwing balls and bickering and such my Dad would come out in the driveway and drop the tailgate on the truck and sit on it and watch us. If any of us kids tried to engage him in yapping he just nodded and stared off in the distance, lost in thought, about something on the news. Maybe JFK was shot, maybe Tet got offended, maybe some astronauts got burned up, maybe the gold standard was erased. Important stuff.

Somewhere along the way, it seems, everything became important and an hour of news per day was not enough time. Some one, or many someone’s decided news needed to be all the time whether there was any news or not. About that same time news was no longer new. It was old. But it kept being news, over and over and over. Never letting up, not even for one minute. Everybody adjusted to the new news all the time.

When a football player made a touch down the news talked about it and added in how the player abused his wife last year. When a married senator was alleged to have been seen in the company of a female that was not his wife by a anonymous informer it was front page news for weeks. Gossip became news to fill the void of no news and the metric was changed forever more. Now, everything is the news if the news people say so. It’s a tough job filling all 24 hours each day with real substantial news so some filler material is necessary. Eventually all news was filler material. There is nothing new under the sun that cannot be found in your own neighborhood.

    Disgusted without, I turn within.

    Watchu talking about there, Ghost?

Where I lived, the network evening news was followed by the local news, not vice versa. What, were you in some kind of privileged enclave where time could be bent and rearranged at will? No wonder you weren’t allowed in during newscasts. There was sorcery taking place.

It was true BEFORE he wrote it; it was true WHEN he wrote it; it is, alas, STILL true now:

    Editor Whedon
    Edgar Lee Masters – 1868-1950

    To be able to see every side of every question;
    To be on every side, to be everything, to be nothing long;
To pervert truth, to ride it for a purpose,
To use great feelings and passions of the human family
For base designs, for cunning ends,
To wear a mask like the Greek actors—
Your eight-page paper—behind which you huddle,
Bawling through the megaphone of big type:
    “This is I, the giant.”
Thereby also living the life of a sneak-thief,
    Poisoned with the anonymous words
    Of your clandestine soul.
To scratch dirt over scandal for money,
And exhume it to the winds for revenge,
    Or to sell papers,
Crushing reputations, or bodies, if need be,
To win at any cost, save your own life.
To glory in demoniac power, ditching civilization,
As a paranoiac boy puts a log on the track
    And derails the express train.
To be an editor, as I was.
Then to lie here close by the river over the place
Where the sewage flows from the village,
And the empty cans and garbage are dumped,
    And abortions are hidden.

As I keep saying, I don’t know if the media is/are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dem party, or if it’s the other way round, but it is OBVIOUS that they are in CAHIOOTS.
