Who Am I? by Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
in the universe.

The Vault
Take It Where You Find It
Men saw the stars at the edge of the sea
They thought great thoughts about liberty
Poets wrote down words that did fit
Writers wrote books
Thinkers thought about it
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
Many’s the road I have walked upon
Many’s the hour between dusk and dawn
Many’s the time
Many’s the mile
I see it all now
Through the eyes of a child
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
And close your eyes
Leave it all for a while
Leave the world
And your worries behind
You will build on whatever is real
And wake up each day
To a new waking dream
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Change, change come over
Change come over
Talkin’ about a change
Change, change
Change come over, now
Change, change, change come over
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light

Maybe in the next year or so we’ll all be homeless.
I’ve commented before about two visits passing through LA in 2018 and 2019. It appears from the video that the problem has grown worse since then. I didn’t think that was possible, but I suppose things can always get worse.
It is horrible to see this going on around the nation. America is rapidly sliding into third-world status. I see the nexus between the state offering “benefits” to indigent dope addicts, drunks and bums…..”subsidize it and you will get more of it. Tax it and you will get less of it.” I think that was Reagan and it is so true.
I’d like to see an accounting of the money coming into state coffers for tax on weed. Colorado was somewhere in the neighborhood of 35% on recreational weed retail sales. California is also quite high on the tax of weed. What is the governor doing with the money?
Finally, it seems that there are a lot of folks in the USA that are going to be learning some very hard lessons in the near term….an awful lot of folks may very well perish from the poor choices they have made. Life is hard. Painful lessons are the ones that stick, if one is lucky enough to survive the lesson.
Hard times produce hard men. Hard men produce good times and prosperity. Prosperity produces soft men. Soft men produce hard times.
Wow. Commiefornia is irredeemable at this point- It’s fallen off the steep cliff of reality and prosperity into a deep, sewage-filled, bottomless pit of hopelessness and decay.
I sometimes look at the local Chico paper- the “Chico ER,” and have been seeing the never-ending war between taxpaying home and business owners versus the willfully-ignorant, bleeding heart Libtards and their habitually homeless dregs- as the Police remove the scumbags from the parks and creek beds where they languish every day- drunk or stoned, spewing garbage, feces, and used syringes- like the world is their personal toilet.
So much “boo-hooing,” anger, and whining from these Liberal twits, yet when asked why they don’t let those “poor homeless folks” camp on THEIR properties, or what THEY have personally done to alleviate the homeless problem by their own actions, they never give an answer.
Maybe that’s why the Chico ER did what so many other Libtard “news” sources did- REMOVE the comments sections after each article- otherwise, they would have to display the opinions of Conservatives, or spend their time censoring or condemning them.
My sincere condolences to all the Conservatives who are still trapped in that wretched state.
