Eric Clapton – This Has Gotta Stop

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

I knew that something was going on wrong
When you started laying down the law

I can’t move my hands
I break out in sweat
I wanna cry
Can’t take it anymore

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

I’ve been around
Long long time
Seen it all
And I’m used to being free

I know who I am
Try to do what’s right
So lock me up and throw away the key

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

Thinkin’ of my kids
What’s left for them
And then what’s coming down the road

The light in the tunnel
Could be the southbound train
Lord, please help them with their load

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

(Break down this door)

Clapton is, of course, speaking from experience. He took the jab and regrets it.

And, gwbnyc, I really enjoy those pithy prose you continue to find along your wanderings around Manhattan and so kindly post here. Great stuff!

YOUR OBEDIENCE IS PROLONGING THIS NIGHTMARE.

I got the Pfizer in February, it knocked me on my can for close to two hours and I didn’t straighten out until 5PM the next day.

The second was severe but not as bad.

I got a second shingles vax about two months ago and it floored me, felt the repercussions for 5-6 days.

Was swabbed for covid (negative, just a drill) yesterday, the doctor suggested the booster and I said “no”.

I had a series of aneurysms repaired in a Hail Mary by my vascular surgeon while I could get in the hospital last summer and fall. I recovered quickly and started my long walks again and felt good. Prior I also had covid in march ‘20- it was harsh but I bounced back into my physical routine and felt alright.

I haven’t felt whole since the two vacs in February.

Sorry to learn of your vaccine induced health issues.
You are another in a long list of people I have talked to or read about suffering nasty side effects. Hope you feel better so. Prayers.

I have not been in the city since my b-day in January ’20.
Oddly enough, I spent the summer of 2019 in China. It was my final trip to China after 12 visits. Returned home and then traveled to Italy in October of ’19 and then, partied in NYC for my birthday.
Last year, by mid-July, I asked my doctor to have me tested for antibodies. Figuring maybe I had it and didn’t know. Test came back negative. In September went for my yearly check-up and doc asked if I wanted the vaccine. I said absolutely not. He said, “Yeah, you’re healthy. You don’t need it.” I asked how many people that he treated had real trouble or died from Covid? He said he had several patients die. I pressed further. Asked were they healthy or did they have other issues? He replied that, all who passed were morbidly obese.

Not sure why I’m sharing all this, but there it is.

I got one Pfizer stick in February, and the reaction was a lot worse than that – over 2 weeks of heart irregularities, exhaustion, flu-like symptoms. My MD’s office admits that several patients have been affected for MONTHS, and they’ve even given me a note advising me not to get another. I didn’t need convincing.

Since that time I’ve had ongoing vertigo and now a neurologist tells me I’ve got Parkinson’s. Like you I’m a walker, and as soon as I get this rotator cuff fixed I plan on starting boxing instruction, highly recommended for Parkinson’s patients. And even though I’m losing motor skills, the shoulder fixed will mean guitar playing will be back on the menu.

I’ve come a loooong way and I don’t quit. And I WILL NOT BE RULED BY FEAR – mine or anybody else’s

    Guess what just stopped?
    Communist, Atheist Ed Asner’s life.

He was as far left as a person could get, an admitted Communist and Atheist, and REALLY loved Joe Biden whom he said is “not to blame” for the Afghanistan crap, and is “doing a great job.”

I don’t celebrate his death, but I will say that the world is a slightly better place without him.

I heard him speak and spoke briefly with him c.1985 at the annual reunion of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade here in NYC.

A doctrinaire red and that’s all ya gotta know.

You vote in dems this is what you get. And once you vote them in, they have a tendency to stay by manipulating the rules. All with noble sounding rhetoric

Heard, day before yesterday, about the first “covid deaths” of anyone I almost knew (3 degrees of separation). Two went to the hospital here in Fairbanks & died there. One went back outside & died in a lower fortyeight hospital.

Don’t know the details but me, I’m avoiding hospitals like the plague.

Would be quite willing to go to a Clapton concert though, especially since he refuses to perform at a venue where vaccination proof is required.

Awesome. Up there with Slow hand’s best work.

This could actually make a difference. Music speaks to people in a way that BS doesn’t.
