Over a half a century of occasional interaction with police I have learned they are not useful to me and if they choose, can waste my ass without second thought. Everybody gets to have their own thoughts.

Blacks support the police only because they don’t know what’s best for them.
I’ve known a lot of good and pretty good cops over the years, and interacted with a few bad ones.
I think we, alas, need the cops.
I don’t think we need police immunity not immunity of any government official.
I do think we need laws and regulations that are in full accord with our Constitution and that any actions by the police be limited to enforcement, not interpretation, of such.

Gotta have the Po-Po. I have a tendency to obey the Constitution, and pay taxes. No problemo with the police. USA!USA!USA! My oath to uphold such, still stands.

I saw a YT vid yesterday that showed some evidence that a significant number of LEOs are joining State militias. Seems they are beginning to understand that their handlers don’t have their backs when they respond to dangerous situations using approved protocol. The handlers jump ship at the first sniff if a problem from their response to an incident.
Hell, I don’t blame them. When your bosses will hang you, your jig is really up and if I was a big city po-po I’d be damned before I’d respond to anything that intimated trouble beyond clearing traffic after a minor fender bender. All of my response times would be tepid.

Jack, they ain’t gonna give up those lucrative incomes and all that goes with it. I will NEVER trust a gov’t employee. The time for jumping ship is long past.
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we’ll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we’ll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
The steel mill sky is alive.
The fire breaks white and zigzag
shot on a gun-metal gloaming.
Man is a long time coming.
Man will yet win.
Brother may yet line up with brother:
This old anvil laughs at many broken hammers.
There are men who can’t be bought.
The fireborn are at home in fire.
The stars make no noise,
You can’t hinder the wind from blowing.
Time is a great teacher.
Who can live without hope?
In the darkness with a great bundle of grief
the people march.
In the night, and overhead a shovel of stars for keeps, the people
march:
“Where to? what next?”
