Dear Readers, Let us forget the four items below this and pause to let me pray that you stay. . .

“In times of change and danger when there is a quicksand of fear under men’s reasoning. . .”

Bob Dylan, in the 80th year of his age, still answers the bell.

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young

In mind and heart I will stay forever young.
    The body begs to differ.

Me at 83, young as can be, but a bit bothered by all the old farts around that I see! 😉

Amazing, timely. I just got a call from my friend, he’s-an PHd, Aero Space engineer, NASA guy who’s done great things for The Human Race.

He shared that his dog just passed, and he’s hopelessly lost!. I get it! I’m crying for his loss!

That’s always tough. Hopefully a ways off for us. But our oldest cat, Caramel, seems to be doing poorly though she is only 10. I hated even writing that, fearing doing so would make it more real. My wife is performing magic with Caramel – My Big Ol Gurl.

Best wishes to Caramel from my two Feline Americans. I’ve grieved for four cats since 2010, and it never gets easier. And speaking of being forever young: it wasn’t that long ago that “grooming” referred to the way that cats lick each other’s fur to remove loose hairs as well as to show which one is the top cat in the household. Anyway, I hope your wife can give Caramel whatever she may need to thrive again.

I hear you. I have a 14 year old GoldenDoodle. In his younger years he was a holy terror but I hung in with him and for years he has been my boy; well, except when any girl shows up. He’s cray-cray about women.

He’s been having some stomach problems, probably colon related, and I’ve got him on some meds to settle that thing down while he dines on chicken and rice and lays up with me. I know I’ll lose him, probably within a year and I will have him cremated. I get tears in my eyes thinking about that impending event.

His remains will be buried with mine and I wouldn’t think of having it any other way.

I first watched Dylan with Joan Baez on tour at the Seattle Center Coliseum in about 1963. I was 17 and he was 20 – 21. In some ways it seems it was just yesterday, in other ways it was a thousand years ago.
He didn’t look anything like that then, but neither did I.

I looked it up, Dylan’s first tour was 1965. – He was 23.

Gerard, I’ll be seeing Dylan in a few days. Email me your shirt size and I’ll get you a T shirt.

      Only $60. lol

That video was from only a year ago? Dylan has been singing in such a gravelly monotonous rattle for ages now, I didn’t know he could hit notes and voice expressions anymore. I’m surprised by this.
