Before D-Day, how many knew of the plan? Yet it worked. Of course my goal—one of them—is to be left alone. So it was in April of 1775. John Parker just wanted to be left alone. He had no plan other than to stand with his men upon Lexington Green. I’m sure you know the rest.
The “shot heard ’round the world” was not planned. But it led to Yorktown. “To be left alone” is most certainly good enough—for now.

My latest hero is John Tornow, late of my home county of Grays Harbor, Washington (1880-1913). His rebel song is titled, aptly: “Leave me alone!”
Well North of 6 foot tall, Tornow decided, as a youth, that he preferred living in the woods to being in the house with mom & dad. So, he began living in the wilds full time, only occasionally showing up to visit. Stop right there. The Wynoochee River drainage is in the southern foothills and mountains of the Olympic Mountain Range. It puts the full-on fuck you in the word “wild”. Wild, as in you are soaking wet and next to death daily every month of the year, unless you pay STRICT attention to your survival skills. It is the ultimate survival challenge where everything is wet, and cold, and miserable constantly. Unless that is, you are John Fucking Tornow, The Wildman of the Wynoochee.
FFW to the parts where he shoots and kills his twin nephews in self-defense, gets committed to the mental asylum for being a feral man, and I guess shoots a few lawmen in the posse who are hunting him, Rambo style, in the Olympics. End of story: he is lashed to a plank and displayed like all 19th Century wild west outlaws kilt by “the law”.
Tell his story one way, and Tornow was a crazed criminal wild man; tell it another way and he was the great American anti-hero. His crime? His crime was leave me the fuck alone. Next time I’m back home, I’ma make the drive up into the hills to see his headstone.
Bill Whittle is probably right that we are too strong as Americans to be defeated outright, and the Left wants us to surrender morally and attitudinally. He does have the Russian Front wrong, in point of fact. The Nazis could’ve either forced the defeat of the Russian army or taken the capital, Moscow. It was either-or. As it turns out, they should’ve stayed on task and gone for the defeat of the Red Army. Moscow was a mistake, and it cost them the war (among other things).
Keep your powder, and your nuts, dry. Like Old John Tornow.

The Wynoochee River lies in Grays Harbor County, but it appears that JT was buried a bit farther to the east, but still within the geography of the Wynoochee, and in Mason County.
My advice: don’t go down there, unless you can “squeal like a pig”…/ word.
What’s missing from Whittle’s excellent observation regarding Pearl Harbor (aside from the substantive evidence that FDR allowed it as a “false flag” to motivate) is that it provided a shared purpose, and motivated isolationists (perhaps not as extreme as Tornow).
America, following the “me generation” of narcissists (now in power) and too many immigrants (legal and illegal) whose sole goal in life is survival and “taking”, suffers a lack of shared purpose (a unique “culture”).
“Manifest destiny”, “land of milk and honey”, “give me your tired, wretched …” … none of that is “culture”. … “Under G-d”, “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, “of, by and for”, … all perhaps suggest what the culture might be, but there is no shared understanding. No sense of the individual’s insignificance unless they teach or leave examples for succeeding for future generations to have reference points as to how best to approach change and how not to approach change.
More persistent than the lie that is the current “scamdemic” is the lie that technology will improve our lives primarily by providing more “free time” and extending life expectancy. But, few know what to do with “free time” because their goals always involve accumulating “stuff” (HT Carlin) or consuming some form of entertainment, then waiting for death once relegated to a “fixed income”.
An increasingly dwindling number cannot think for themselves – how could I fix “that” (HT Ghostsniper) ?; what could I build out of that junk ?; how could I survive without (____) ?; I always wanted to know more about (_____) ?
“Americans”, i.e., a significant minority of those that live within the historical borders drawn on maps, will muster to defeat the current threats to their freedoms the same as in the past. And, then after much bloodshed, destruction, pain and suffering the survivors will convince themselves (or allow new “politicians” to) “We won. The ‘enemy is defeated.’ Get back to your lives. Your sacrifice means future generations will never have to fight and suffer so.” … And, the war profiteers will laugh.
And, the majority will say: “Leave us the Fuck Alone.” … And, the cycle will repeat until all acknowledge “evil” exists and no one is “an island”, because G-d made us to perpetuate life not merely survive and entertain ourselves during our short earthly existence.

At what point, in your country’s devolving evolution, do things become so foreign seeming that it seems you are surrounded by foreigners and are living in a foreign land? IOW, the US is slowly changing into a 3rd world country so how long do you hold onto your loyalty?
Freedom Pockets.
If a fatal crash is not imminent I suspect that in 10 years time there will be huge population centers in each state where most of the communists/criminals reside. There will be hundreds of Freedom pockets of small populations that have isolated themselves as much as possible from the tyranny. I have a deep seated aversion to crowds of any sort so as long as I am alive I will seek a smaller way to live. Larger than my aversion above, I have an intense hate for anything that even remotely seems like authority. I can’t even get my head around the notion that one person gets to tell another what to do. I certainly don’t want to tell others what to do and react immediately and over the top to anyone that presumes to assert their ways on me in any shape or form. I was born this way. I am a weed and will grow no matter where I am and in any environ. A whole bunch of people need to learn to mind their own business.

In these movies, the national command authority has given up on the hellholes of urban blight, and built walls around New York, and L.A., to keep to citizens in. Not a criminal? That’s too fukn bad, comrade. You’re in an anarchy, fighting it out in the streets with no utilities except what a few resourceful residents can cobble together with left-over utilities and coal. Gasoline is black market gold. Food? Ever eat rat?
