loved “Almost Live” all those years ago. Mike needs to dust off the writers pen today and get that comedy going for the 2020’s Seattle, such a target rich environment.

Skorpion,
Is Ralph Williams still in business? I’d buy a car from him. At least he’s honest. 😁

Tom, that cat’s name is Pat Cashman but I don’t blame you for thinking of Phil Hartman. Speaking of that dude, I sure do miss him!

Pat Cashman, my favorite home town comedian from Almost Live. I love watching old clips, especially when he did parodies of “Unsolved Mysteries.” I think that rug place is still down on First Ave across from the pergola.
Dang. Fooled me! This guy looks just like Hartman and delivered such a Hartman-like melt down… staid and diplomatic and then building up and up to psychotic frenzy. Great stuff. I’ll check out Cashman.
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we’ll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we’ll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
The steel mill sky is alive.
The fire breaks white and zigzag
shot on a gun-metal gloaming.
Man is a long time coming.
Man will yet win.
Brother may yet line up with brother:
This old anvil laughs at many broken hammers.
There are men who can’t be bought.
The fireborn are at home in fire.
The stars make no noise,
You can’t hinder the wind from blowing.
Time is a great teacher.
Who can live without hope?
In the darkness with a great bundle of grief
the people march.
In the night, and overhead a shovel of stars for keeps, the people
march:
“Where to? what next?”

Phil Hartman was amazing. So goddamn funny. And what a lesson he bestowed. Don’t marry crazy.
I had their John Travolta “Deloox” Toupee.
This guy gotta line on a mattress deal?
Funny! But not as good as this *real-life car dealer*’s “joke” commercial (NSFW):

So it aint just in my town then. Interesting. We had one that went out of business for at least 10 years. Laughed my ass off. Thanks Mr. V.
Blast from the past but still funny (and SFW): Crazy Eddie’s Bathroom Doo-Wop commercial:
