“A humongous 3D cat is turning heads on a busy Tokyo street. The huge feline, nicknamed ‘Shinjuku Cat,’ is a part of a billboard campaign. Shinjuku Cat gets its name from the Shinjuku district it hails from. The cat resides on a 1,665 square-foot, curved LED 4K high-resolution display. What’s fascinating about Shinjuku is that it’s more than just a static projection. The calico cat, which looks comfortably nestled on top of a building, walks around, naps and loudly meows. Footage of the giant kitty went viral on Twitter on July 5, receiving over 142,000 likes. Shinjuku is active from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. before taking a six-hour ‘cat nap.’ Cross Space and Unika created the project, and technically, Shinjuku isn’t advertising anything besides the advertising space itself. . . . ‘There are many reasons we decided to display the cat, but one of the big reasons is that with [the] corona[virus], the world became very dark,’ Unika spokesperson Takayuki Ohkawa told Japan Times. ‘Through the cat display, we wanted to revive Shinjuku and make it brighter.’ Tokyo will host the 2021 Summer Olympics but is currently under its fourth pandemic lockdown. The approximate 190,000 daily passersby could certainly use some cheering up.”

Now I think a similar projection of Olive on a local billboard is just what CA needs, now that LA is reimposing the mask mandate even for vaccinated humans.

LA mask mandate, I’ve noticed that all the progressives ideas have to be mandated; or nobody would pay attention to them.

I’m hoping there is massive civil disobedience.

I kept waiting for the kitty DO SOMETHING… like flip off the light switch… lick his ass… something. Oh well. Here’s something to pay attention to. There WILL be civil disobedience. This is a riveting interview. Greg Hunter asks the calculating trends observer Clif High what to expect for the rest of the year. Don’t attack the masked zombies inquiring of your vaxx status as they knock at your door. Red pill them instead. https://tinyurl.com/bh3zxcjk

Leave it to the Japanese; that’s creepy as hell.

  • Richard July 17, 2021, 7:57 AM

That’s really quite impressive. And as a coinkydink, while I viewed the video, my own terrific tabby was lounging atop my antique CRT monitor in much the same manner.

Imagine the kitty dumpling coming from that cat!

Thanks for the link Tom, watched and captured the whole thing. 5.1gb
Gonna take a bit to digest all of that.
    I’m both distressed and optimistic.
What I really wish is that a whole bunch of people would get their head out of their ass.
Is it really that intolerable to just be normal and leave each other be?

  • James ONeil July 17, 2021, 9:52 AM

Good thing the Japanese are accustomed to strange, else viewing that thing could lead to catastrophic traffic jams.

  • Zaphod July 17, 2021, 6:43 PM

No fear of traffic jams.. they’re inured. There’s a building in Tokyo with a Golden Turd on its roof.

Once that tail starts flicking, all bets are off.
