I had a great Summer, thanks for asking.
We put up about 80+ pints of stewed tomatoes. Those will last us until late May.

We also put up a lot of yellow summer squash and zucchini. We’ve found that the best way to deal with YSS & Z is to make the go-to dishes and freeze them. So in addition to multiple 2C freezer bags of Z & YSS we have a couple of pans of zucchini lasagna, and Gubo’s squash dressing.

Also have some frozen blackeyed peas. Some beans & okra.

Oh! And corn. We have fresh frozen corn which is delicious.

When you ask how my Summer was, you’re asking if it was productive, with respect to Fall & Winter.

    It was good.

    First summer of retirement.
Two funerals, two reunions, one crazy ass birthday bash, and a mescaline trip.
    I’ve had worse.
