#WalkedAway: Gay, Buddhist,Honest, Decent

Neo posted this video as part of her look into The #Walkaway stories – The New Neo.

This is a moving, highly personal, meditation of a man trying to find the truth and to “live not by lies.” It’s well worth a listen to of a Sunday. He’s not alone. Not by a long shot.

While I appreciate his new found red pill status, the sight of a grown man crying like this makes me cringe. Why isn’t there any anger or rage at the left? Just disappointment and tears. Like a girl who has been dissed in the lunchroom and cries in the bathroom. I suppose every vote counts but for me I would be pissed as hell for the years of deception. The guy can’t even get mad for pete’s sake.

  • Jewel August 18, 2018, 8:07 PM

He will become angry. Sooner rather than later, one hopes.

  • Melinda August 18, 2018, 9:32 PM

I respect anyone who has ability to pull themselves out of the fire of leftist hell. Good for him for thinking for himself. I have a liberal sibling who disowned me for being conservative. The beginning of the end was when she found out I watched Fox news.

  • Deloras Vind August 19, 2018, 5:43 AM

Man, what’s with the ear rings? Masculine – not!

  • Snakepit Kansas August 19, 2018, 5:56 AM

Very interesting story about his transformation through efforts to find out the truth.

  • Mary Ann August 19, 2018, 6:39 AM

I’d like to take him to lunch at Chick Fil A. Good on him for working to find the truth and I wish him all the best.

  • ghostsniper August 19, 2018, 7:00 AM

I vested less than a minute in that embarrassment.
Seriously, are you people that easily snookered?

  • Casey Klahn August 19, 2018, 7:14 AM

Yes. Great to watch the change, the measured words, and the thoughtfulness on his face.

It’s part of the old Code of the West: do not inquire into a man’s past. When will more dems wake up and realize that the most anarchic nation ever is the United States of America, as founded? IOW: let bygones be, and stay the F out of my business. Bear arms. Speak. Assemble. Report. Worship. Do all that shit.

The promise of Socialism (I’m trying to stop saying “Communism” – I want to pin the idiots down with their current rhetoric) was, at first, that intellectuals and artists would be free to think and create under the new system. I don’t quite know the reasoning on that, but, shaaazammm! That was sure wrong, huh? Gulag much?

“Man, what’s with the ear rings? Masculine – not!”

What’s with the ear rings and crying? He’s gay, he has the license. As far as ear rings go, let me say one thing; “Sean Connery in Highlander”, nuff’ said.

  • jwm August 19, 2018, 7:54 AM

God bless this man. Those of us living here in the deep blue pit learn to just stay quiet about things political. It’s like cave diving. If you make a wrong move you stir up the sediment and everything goes blind. See what happened to him when he stirred up the bottom. Fast, hard lesson. It is no small task to pack up your life and move. Snark all you like about the tears. Have you been mobbed on social media? Have you had “friends” turn on you like rabid rats?

Not a day goes by where I must interact with “something” that has tatts and unlimited piercings. Something I only used to see in the latest copy of national geographics in my youth. To me a sign of our downfall. The moment I think we’ve reached the bottom of our deprivation, I’m proved wrong. Western Civilization minus the civilization. We’re surely screwed. Pass the popcorn and enjoy the collapse.

  • Howard Nelson August 19, 2018, 8:31 AM

jwm understands correctly and has no need to condemn, much less judge.

“Hard talk punch thought. Hard talk penetrate the heart. A hard talk opens jaws. Hard talk make us ponder to wonder. It is always hard to hear the hard talk that speaks the truth and reality but, such a hard talk is always a hard talk.
    — Ernest Agyemang Yeboah

  • ghostsniper August 19, 2018, 10:46 AM

    “…much less judge…”

You judge people and things every dam day Howard.

Observe the flower, it judges which way the sun shines.
Notice the rabbit judging if you are friend or foe.
Check out that rock, it just sits there doing squat.
And yes, narcissism is a red flag.

So knock off the fake retardedness.

  • I.C.Nielsen August 19, 2018, 10:47 AM

He has brought news from the front. All we have heard about the left is true. Animals all.

  • pbird August 19, 2018, 11:51 AM

I didn’t watch it. From comments I can see that maybe he has made a break, a first step, but I still don’t want to see him emote.
I kinda feel like ghost. We do judge. We have to discriminate to figure out what pants to put on for pete’s sake.

  • SLM August 19, 2018, 2:07 PM

It wasn’t his tears that were embarrassing, it was his whimpering.

  • Susan August 19, 2018, 4:58 PM

Looks like #WalkAwayCalifornia fizzled a bit compared to the nationwide movement but I thought this was interesting for those of us in the “blue pit” (as JWM says):
“Is California at the Center of #WalkAway?”

  • Fred August 19, 2018, 5:11 PM

He can’t be saved by the Republicans. No red pill will help him. He, a Sodomite, can only be saved by Grace of Christ Jesus.

  • Snakepit Kansas August 20, 2018, 4:31 AM

There is some difference between judging someone to damnation versus acknowledging the fruits that a person produces. Matthew 7 explains such quite well. We are all sinners who need saved.

We are often products of our environment. If any of us were born in the Middle East to Muslim parents then we would likely be Muslim too. We do not know what this guy was born into or how he got to this point in life. The upside is that he is transforming to something better. I pray that transformation does not stop and he comes to know Him.

  • ghostsniper August 20, 2018, 4:51 AM

“The upside is that he is transforming to something better.”
    ===============

    That’s nice, I suppose.
But why is it anyone’s business but his own?
The fact that he would even put such a thing out there is indicative of his flawed nature.
One cannot blame their parents or geographic location at birth for their character flaws for the rest of their life. At some point, perhaps around the age of maturation, he would make the transition from child to adult without having to broadcast it to the world. That he chose to do otherwise reveals his true self.

  • Snakepit Kansas August 20, 2018, 10:36 AM

    Ghost,
Very good points. Yes, in the end we better be able to look in the mirror without shame.

Odd that someone would post something like this. We probably all analyze our current and past actions, but don’t post it on Youtube. I am not sure what would compel someone to do that.

  • Howard Nelson August 20, 2018, 12:37 PM

Understanding and judging are two different things. Understanding we receive, whereas judging we give out. Understanding is awarenesses of a truth. Judging is expressing of our opinion whether it be correct or incorrect, and with no need for understanding of the situation.
The baby poops on schedule. We understand it’s functioning normally. The baby remains constipated, we don’t understand why, we judge it, rightly or wrongly, on inadequate parenting. A moment later the child poops an 11 inch extrudate of excrement.
We learn that there are short and long cycles in life about which we don’t know szzt!
The moral: Judge not if the adequacy of your understanding is not or knotted.

  • pbird August 20, 2018, 12:37 PM

No opioid like attention. Its a weakness.

  • ghostsniper August 20, 2018, 7:42 PM

“Understanding and judging are two different things.”
    =========
Right, but we’re not talking about understanding, remember?
You introduced that word to deflect, didn’t you Howard?

    —————-

    “…judging we give out…”
    ==========

Half a block ahead you see a ne’er do well coming in your direction and judging him to be evil you dart into the immediate haberdashery. What did you “give out”?
