A situation too weird for 99.999% of people to adequately explain. “They have that big gang of enforcers. I guess we’d better comply…. How could hundreds of millions of people have power over that tiny dot?”

For many the act of submission is out of fear of disorder and chaos. Those who govern are expected to provide security against threats to order and safety from both foreign and domestic threats. As the unwillingness or inability to provide this basic obligation of government becomes more and more pronounced people will be taking the responsibility into their own hands and then things will become truly interesting.
I want to get along with everyone, I don’t need more enemies. I want to play by the rules because CalvinBall is only fun for Calvin. I don’t have a convenient answer for the “If you don’t follow all the rules which ones will you follow”, nor for the “If you don’t like that function of government how will you excise it from the ones you do like” questions.
But I do know the present system with all of the odious mutations cannot survive. How long is a good question, but there were men of a different time that had enough of the non-representative government process and took up arms to repeal it.
This video was written and narrated by Larken Rose. He is quite a presence on youtube and has written books and blogs, too. I am currently reading “The Most Dangerous Superstiton” in which Rose describes the habitual deference to and fear of government. Most of humanity believes government is superior, infallible, and you cannot survive without it.
The second amendment has nothing to do with hunting rifles.
We have become a nation of cowards relying on government to protect and provide for us. I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said something like those who are willing to sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither. I also have to agree with F.A. Hayek in this quote from the Road to Serfdom “By giving the government unlimited powers, the most arbitrary rule can be made legal; and in this way a democracy may set up the most complete despotism imaginable.” We are slaves to our government, a government that offers “protection” for a price much like a mob boss or a gang. Refuse to pay for this so called protection and you can lose everything. This is not freedom.
