Facebook Restores Comedy Video Mocking Media Following Breitbart Report

The video, created by comedy group DWECK, was blacklisted last week after amassing 2.5 million views, with Facebook claiming it violated their rules against “hate speech.”

The video was finally restored on Thursday.

“Your post is back on Facebook. We’re sorry we got this wrong. We reviewed your video again and it does follow our Community Standards,” declared Facebook in a notification to the DWECK Facebook page. “Your feedback helps us do better.”

DWECK President Victor Dweck commented to Breitbart News, “Our social media manager said he’s never seen this happen before, so I have to imagine it was thanks to the pressure Facebook received from your article.”

“Community Standards”? We don’t need ‘em, Faceberg.

The First Amendment has served us well for 225 years and counting. It’s all we need. It works. Stop trying to fix it.

    Well done.

Whose community standards- the GLTerrorist perverts, certainly not-

Heard of Facebook, but that’s it. Nonetheless it burns me that a couple of twinkies can selectively bar talk in a supposedly open forum based on fuzzy, emotion based criteria. I’d like to say there oughta’ be a law, but there are already way too many laws.

I am waiting for some researcher to conduct a serious large-scale study of the extent and patterns of censorship in social media. The results would probably show that a handful of man-bunned soybois working in Silicon Valley have a power to mold public perception far beyond what Putin can do, assuming however that they are not actually working for Putin and/or Soros, while getting paid by one of our tech giants!

Of course any such researcher would best be independently wealthy because his continued employment would be unlikely.

Unless that researcher was Machine Gun Kelly.
