Suffer not the old King under any name!: “I am not here as a serf or vassal. I am not begging my lords for mercy.”

The new Crown is not a person, it is an idea. The throne at whose foot a formerly free people kneel is the golden seat of the welfare state. While the fireworks light up the sky, a counterrevolution undid the revolution. There is a new king and his face is on every magazine cover in the land. His bounty is a jagged bear trap that turns everyone into a ward of the state at their own expense. Sultan Knish: A Nation of Free Men or Free Things

“I am not here as a serf or vassal. I am not begging my lords for mercy. I’m a born free American woman, wife, mother and citizen. And I’m telling my government that you’ve forgotten your place. It’s not your responsibility to look out for my well-being, and to monitor my speech. It’s not your right to assert an agenda. Your post, the post that you occupy, exists to preserve American liberty. You’ve sworn to perform that duty. And you have faltered.” — Becky Gerritson

All we have of freedom, all we use or know—
This our fathers bought for us long and long ago.

Ancient Right unnoticed as the breath we draw—
Leave to live by no man’s leave, underneath the Law.

Lance and torch and tumult, steel and grey-goose wing
Wrenched it, inch and ell and all, slowly from the King.

Till our fathers ‘stablished, after bloody years,
How our King is one with us, first among his peers.

So they bought us freedom—not at little cost
Wherefore must we watch the King, lest our gain be lost,

Over all things certain, this is sure indeed,
Suffer not the old King: for we know the breed.

Give no ear to bondsmen bidding us endure.
Whining “He is weak and far”; crying “Time shall cure.”,

(Time himself is witness, till the battle joins,
Deeper strikes the rottenness in the people’s loins.)

Give no heed to bondsmen masking war with peace.
Suffer not the old King here or overseas.

They that beg us barter—wait his yielding mood—
Pledge the years we hold in trust—pawn our brother’s blood—

Howso’ great their clamour, whatsoe’er their claim,
Suffer not the old King under any name!

Here is naught unproven—here is naught to learn.
It is written what shall fall if the King return.

He shall mark our goings, question whence we came,
Set his guards about us, as in Freedom’s name.

He shall take a tribute, toll of all our ware;
He shall change our gold for arms—arms we may not bear.

He shall break his judges if they cross his word;
He shall rule above the Law calling on the Lord.

He shall peep and mutter; and the night shall bring
Watchers ‘neath our window, lest we mock the King—

Hate and all division; hosts of hurrying spies;
Money poured in secret, carrion breeding flies.

Strangers of his counsel, hirelings of his pay,
These shall deal our Justice: sell—deny—delay.

We shall drink dishonour, we shall eat abuse
For the Land we look to—for the Tongue we use.

We shall take our station, dirt beneath his feet,
While his hired captains jeer us in the street.

Cruel in the shadow, crafty in the sun,
Far beyond his borders shall his teachings run.

Sloven, sullen, savage, secret, uncontrolled,
Laying on a new land evil of the old—

Long-forgotten bondage, dwarfing heart and brain—
All our fathers died to loose he shall bind again.

Here is naught at venture, random nor untrue—
Swings the wheel full-circle, brims the cup anew.

Here is naught unproven, here is nothing hid:
Step for step and word for word—so the old Kings did!

Step by step, and word by word: who is ruled may read.
Suffer not the old Kings: for we know the breed—

All the right they promise—all the wrong they bring.
Stewards of the Judgment, suffer not this King!

Daniel Greenfield is as usual spot on and too prolix.

But “every other day is Co-Dependence Day” absolutely rings the bell.

You’re very fortunate that 300mil people live here and more coming on board all the time. With each additional person you become a smaller target. Maintain a very small profile and might avoid being victimized for awhile. If you live in a city your profile is automatically larger than those that do not.

I’m talking about the Highway Men. All day, every day, they prowl from horizon to horizon searching for new victims. People they can steal from. If you cross their radar sweep you will not escape. They WILL victimize you, and they will do so in as many and varied ways as possible. The Highway Men are constantly creating new tools with which to victimize victims. They are perfecting their methods so as to make it difficult for victims to avoid them. The Highway Men never sleep, they are always on the prowl. Their numbers are many. You know not who they are fro most of them are not uniformed. They dress like, and look like, you. One of them could be sitting across from you at the supper table tonight.

When you realize there are more Highway Men in this country than not the idea of the “land of the free” shows you the truth of the matter.

After PDJT’s 2nd term, I’m voting for her!

    Dear Barbecue Becky,

(I hit submit too soon, submitting again – since you are such a fan of free speech, will you allow mine?)

You must’ve forgotten this part of the Declaration of Independence:

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense — *promote the general welfare* — and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States.”

What exactly is “the government” doing to you, that you feel you suffer so much, despite color-treated and perfectly coiffed hair and a nice suit, and the fact that you are even in a position to speak to the powers that be?

(You didn’t mention if you had a job, mind you, just that you were a wife and mother, which is okay and commendable – because it’s just not every unemployed wife and mother that gets to speak freely to an audience like this?)

Now, if your answer is the current administration took $2.5 million of our tax dollars from our National Parks and put it towards tanks rolling through the DC like this is China and the Washington Mall is Tiananmen Square, without the consent of “We The People,” then I’m with you.

But essentially, what you’re saying is, your biggest problem is the government is promoting the general welfare and caring for its people, and you fear that you’ll lose your white privilege and don’t like it that you risk losing being rude and treating others badly anymore and that things are on their way to becoming a little more fair for everyone

When Obamacare is repealed and you can’t afford health insurance for your kids anymore, or the cops stop you repeatedly based on your skin color alone, or you were fired from your job in retaliation for turning the boss’ sexual advances down, we’ll talk.

Until then, perhaps save your whining energy for something more morally important than you can’t be rude to others anymore.

Was anyone else surprised that the “You’re-So-Raciss” card was played?

    Yeah. Me neither.

    Dear Chrysalis:

    Bite me.

Now, my comments for everyone. We are the congress, now. The people. Our sitting congress is no longer representative of our nation. They are snakes.

I say speak up to them at every opportunity. It doesn’t matter which party: they sit in an office of fools. Who would tolerate that?

I will repeat a statement to the government and to those who support it’s tyranny, that is common in the minds of my fellow Southern men, and likely in the minds of others:
    Kiss My Ass.
I am not asking your permission to speak, to prosper, or to make declarations.
As for the “General Welfare”, “Obama Care”, “White Privilege” and associated effluvium there is much too much to discuss on this forum, so Strong Letter to Follow will have to do for now.

Promoting the general welfare, not providing it.

DP, it’s night letters, strong letters mean nothing. Hell the powers that be don’t ever see em.
