Band In China: South Park Apologizes to China for Saying (Among Other Things) It’s a Gilded Concentration Camp with Winnie the Pooh Leading It

First, the offending show.

[ If Youtube tanks the episode over the day the full show is here; Band in China – Full Episode – Season 23 – Ep 02 | South Park Studios]

Then the apology after China banned “Band In China:”

The apology echos, and not in a nice way, the NBA’s kissing of China’s ass as outlined here by Ted Cruz:

What was the offense against the great and powerful Oz of China?

According to the Associated Press, Morey’s original, deleted tweet read: “Fight for Freedom. Stand with Hong Kong.”

Morey thought a good game but was quickley sent to NBA Gulag for his thought and re-educated into this cringing apology:

UPDATE: China : IntellectualDarkWeb

I think this quote captures much of the worldview of Chinese communists:

Birds in a cage think flying is an illness. -Alejandro Jodorowsky

So given the plight of Hong Kong, and the massive abuses that have come to light over recent years, and the current appeasement by many corporations, China has reached the top of my list of social concerns. We in the West have been saying things like “never forget” with regards to genocide, ethnic cleansing, state sponsored racism, and fascism for as long as China has been a communist state. The economic entanglement with China and attempts by the West to peacefully guide China into a more democratic way of government make the situation very messy and difficult to act on.

Personally, I’ve decided that the least I can do is to speak out against them, and to be more careful with where my money goes.

These are the collectivist authoritarians, subject to all the maladaptive thinning and terrible consequences Jordan Peterson talks about. In some ways, they are worse than Germany’s Nazis.

Collusion, collaboration, and appeasement are the status quo.

I’ll be fighting the rolling YouTube “copyright protection takedowns” for the rest of the day but I’ve added a link to the Comedy Central replay.

    Embargo China!

Gee, I can’t imagine what the Chinese Government found offensive in that video…

On a more personal hobbyhorse nobody gives a shit about, that “Tumbleweeds and Squirrels” jab was pure gold. Bluegrass in the ’50s was true soul music for white people, and as a popular-music genre would have died a natural death, just like bebop and Bill Haley, had it not been introduced to College Kids – or in other words, embryonic Social Marxists. That quickly made it de mode, and eventually destroyed its raison.

Sixty years later, bluegrass is now the thinnest gruel imaginable in most circumstances, and the “scene” is dominated everywhere but the Southeast by SJWs and girls in flannel shirts and tattoos. The music is…..”Tumbleweeds and Squirrels, my darlin, Tumbleweeds and Squirrels.”

That shot, plus the bullseye of great hordes cheering for the amplified tantrum of the metal band, is among the reasons even a non-television consumer like me will always adore South Park.

    For whatever that’s worth.

I would argue that the Communists are far worse than the Nazi regime. Going by the number of victims alone commies killed about 10 times as many people as nazis, though the commonality of the evil within both systems share the same basic root ideology – collectivism.

The video is hilarious and spot on. The non-apology apology is what i miss in today’s world.
The truth does sting. Mickey is the best with his rant. The NBA needs some Tegridy Weed.
I laughed my arse off. South Park is usually too gutter for me but they get it right sometime and put a stick in the eye now and then where it should be.
