We saw these at Sea World, and they were my favorite. Graceful and beautiful; amazing how we can see them in the wild this way.

I always thought they should have intercontinental whale races in the winter olympics. Like, from Greenland to Great Britain. Or South America to Africa for the summer olympics. Great Blues only. Small windswept 1 person cabins mounted on top right behind the blow hole for the drivers. With wireless lasso’s wrapped around their nutsax and controlled by the drivers. Other guys are getting ahead?, hit the switch and deliver 220 volts to Blues nethers and watch him do a wheelstand to the lead position. Overhead long distance drones could film everything, and even high speed submersible cameras below the surface capturing that view. Maybe I’d start watching the olympics again like I did when Dorothy wiped the slate back in ’76.

    Ghost,
220V. AC or DC? 800V DC with current limit, 300uS pules and 2% duty cycle would safely and humanely allow such a whale race to proceed. I like your idea.
