Post of the Day: “Every Day Is 9/11. That’s Exactly The Problem.”

The fact is, at all three levels of my brain, every day is 9/11.

Yesterday was.

Tomorrow will be.

Today is just a happy conjunction of reality and the construct of “the Gregorian” calendar.

Nothing more nor less.

Because the murdering, semi-literate goat-humpers who perpetrated the act we remember are still out there.

We (you, me, Western civilization, etc.) haven’t delivered to them the Third Punic War level of recompense they richly deserve, because reasons. Mostly bullshit ones, at that.

It’s too much.

Hey, fuckwit, they wiped out international air travel for months, vaporized billions in the economy of every nation in the world, including the ones least able to absorb that, not just ours in the U.S., engendering a decade-plus series of wars and thousands to tens of thousands of casualties, that really hasn’t stopped since they started circa the 7th Century, and won’t until we end the problem, by ending the problem children.

Sorry if that unvarnished reality spoils your breakfast, but shit happens.

It’s mean.

Really, dipshit? Meaner than destroying the lives of thousands of strangers in the service of your child-molesting leader, and his fanatical devotion to an imaginary death-cult deity?

Meaner than setting buildings on fire, and subjecting thousands of strangers to slow torture by fire, smoke, and worst of all, the time to contemplate the full hopelessness of their situation, such that they’d rather, in hundreds of cases, try flying from the 80th floor of a skyscraper rather than burn to death, or wait to be crushed under hundreds of tons of smoking rubble, screaming all the way to the impact at the bottom?

Okay, you win. I hereby concede that justice demands that every fanatical follower of theirs, including their bomb-toting children, should only be lit on fire, and kicked out of an aircraft at altitude, to scream in unspeakable agony the entire way until impact. Call it Hammurabi 2.0.

Happy now?

That’s not who we are.

You got a mouse in your pocket, soy-boi?

Who we are is a disgrace. Who we should be, are the guys who nuked Mecca and Medina, same day, then slaughtered everything left after that, in a feat worthy of Genghis Khan, and then introduced endangered species to graze there in perpetuity, so as to have enough lions and crocodiles handy to feed any stragglers to for the next few centuries.

RTWT @ Raconteur Report: Every Day Is 9/11. That’s Exactly The Problem.

I agree, but you didn’t go far enough with your suggestion.

I think the West ought to have waited, and prepared. Waited until the wind was right, and prepared with a modification to a couple of missile warheads; the biggest and ugliest and dirtiest in the armoury. And the modification? A hundred kilos or so of cobalt as extra shielding around the weapons.

And waited until the wind was approximately WSW, and hit Barad-Dur and Minas Morgul with groundbursts. The fallout cloud would have encompassed Riyadh and part of Iran. Let the King of Mordor contemplate his error as his teeth fell out and his skin sloughed off, along with those of all his orcs.

I seem to recall an article here a while ago about the western world deciding to rid itself of it’s nuclear weapons stockpile while at the same time eradicating the muslim problem.
    Peace through vengeance.

This hits hard. Good to keep the memory alive, although it’s painful.

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Hammurabi

The bastards cannot blame Christians for this statement as it pre-dates the Bible.

Now let me read your non sugar coated version Aesop.

Sadly, the fact is with W in office, the Saudis were never in any danger. Didn’t a planeload of them get to fly back to moslimland despite the air travel ban?

I would encourage everyone to go to the original blog and read the responses. America is called out by citizens of the UK, rightfully so IMO.

911 should be, above all, a day of personal soul searching. I am a good American. But I am not a blindly patriotic American.

In looking at ourselves, we should examine the stinking corruption and cock-sure hubris of Washington DC and think carefully before we sling murderous talk around about nuclear war. We should also recognize the recklessness of judging other nations for failing too stop Islamic terrorism when we have failed, with all of our ‘power’, to do so in 17 years.

And each American should accept the fact that we are personally responsible for this failure. It is OUR nation. Yet we continue to allow the corruption for the sake of not upsetting our own comfort, without a willingness, personally, to do whatever it takes to clean up our side of the street.

I am, incidentally, a disabled Vietnam Era veteran. I have earned the right to speak my peace.

Yes, we should have decimated the the ragheads for what they have done. But airplanes didn’t take down the twin towers so perfectly and symmetrically by themselves. Experienced airline pilots have said they couldn’t have even hit the buildings using manual controls.

And airplanes didn’t take down Bldg 7 at all, which was clearly, *clearly* a controlled demolition. And the muzzies didn’t make flight 93 vanish from a field in PA. The entire plane practically disappeared, like no other crash in history. Way to many hinky things happened to believe a bunch of goatherders did it all.

All previous tests where full loads of aviation fuel was dispersed on the top of skyscrapers and set afire have proven inconclusive.

Martians got the debris in Pennsylvania.

Fluoride is turning the frogs gay.

Enjoy the rest of your life. It doesn’t get any crazier for you.

Mr Whipoorwill, with all due respect, I have spent a lifetime examining America. That includes the Vietnam era, and every presidency from Eisenhower to Trump. I feel no fault that can be excusal for Muslim terrorism. They have a fine history of dishing out military attacks; we have one of anti-militancy and of being the light on a hill. I feel you’ve lost your sense of perspective somewhere.

    Hi KC…

I am not closed minded to hear and discuss. I think I am spot-on that the US government has lost moral imperative, but not the job of national defense.
