Numb to the Dumbth

Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either – but right through every human heart – and through all human hearts. — Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

“Killers continue targeting locations where guns are not allowed. Ninety-eight percent of public mass shootings in this country occur in gun-free zones — the Florida school being one of them.” Repeal gun-free zones —

Not the first. Not the last. Not the worst. Not the least. A criminal psychopath shoots up a “gun-free” school and kills a number of children and adults. A sane reaction would be to make any tacit or explicit “gun free zones” become “guarded with guns zones” tomorrow. A sane reaction would be trained members of the teaching and administrative staffs at our schools with CCW permits and CCWs. A sane reaction would be to treat schools in the same way we treat access to planes at the airport; scanners and metal detectors with armed guards at a single entrance. A sane reaction would be to treat the insect who did this would be an execution by rope, bullet, or wood chipper livestreamed on the Internet “pour encourage les autres.”

All these things are well known and rapid, inexpensive solutions to the problem of school security.

None of these reasonable solutions to   school shootings will be initiated . None whatsoever by the organs of government, especially the now utterly depraved, incompetent, and insane FBI.

What will be done is more of THE DUMBTH and not one solution will be put in place. That is guaranteed by THE DUMBTH among us.

Dumbth (pron. dum-th) adj: a tendency toward muddleheadedness, or willful stupidity appearing in all segments of American life.

Enough already. We’re beyond a “conversation” on this blather. We are numb to the dumbth.

We will, should we pay attention to this Nth iteration of the dumpth of school shootings, be forced to listen to the endless rants, whines, and skin-blistering flatulations of the muddled multitudes who think that, (1) We can  with our magic wands (Dare I dumbth it?) “de-gunify” American life; and (2) that want ing  to leave current gun-free zone policy in place makes you a wonderful human being, while seeing and saying  that this is deep and deadly dumbth that makes you  worse than the psychopathic killer. These dried owl pellets of dumbth policy have been  festering inside America for decades now and, since we no longer punch these clowns in their clown noses, there is no let up to their blather. This is what needs to change in our “conversation” about mass shootings.
We will also, should we choose to look for it, be confronted for the lebenty-lebenth time, with the insistance that the gun-free zones that have caused repeated slaughters within their bounderies need to be expanded. I guess the thought is that if you make the borders of the gun-free zone big enough psychopaths will simply wear themselves out walking around in it looking for victims. Why we send our children, daily, to these “gun-free slaughter zones” is beyond any sane man’s comprehension. Those that maintain and propose “gun free zones” need to be taken to the top of a very tall building and defenestrated with extreme prejudice.

We will have to inform the dumbth among us of the one adamantine truth about guns in America: “Just because your “gun free zones” fail over and over again, you DO NOT get to disarm free men under any circumstances.”

We need to remind the dumbth among us in the strongest possible terms that it is a sin to disarm a free man, and that “the wages of sin is death.” Any attempt at confiscation will cost lives, many lives, and fail.

In the meantime, in between time, it remains the case that the dumbth among us will run their standard whines and foot-stamping “gun free zone” blather. As they do we will again become numb to the dumbth.

Until the “gun-free zones” of America are expunged, psychopaths will continue to walk into these feeding lots of American children and kill them with impunity. When they do the Marching Moron Brigades of the Dumbth Army will again take to the barricades and pour their putrid blather out. Me? I’m numb to the dumpth, but not to the need to start punching these traitors in the teeth. Not all of them, but just enough pour encourage les autres.

In the meantime….

I keep a weather eye on the horizon, tap the storm glass now and then
I’ve got a case of Old Damnation for when you get here, my friend
We can have ourselves a party before they come
In the meantime I’m cleaning my gun

There are no “good” answers. There are things we could do that will be marginally effective. But make no mistake the left doesn’t “want” to fix it they want to use it. Their goal is and always has been full gun confiscation and they always knew that they had to do it by steps. Each outrage, each mass shooting plays into their hands. Sooner or later they will win this and we will have a Canada or Australia style gun confiscation. Predictably after that happens crime rates and murder rates will go up but they don’t care. Because this was never about the outrage or mass shootings it is about negating the 2nd amendment. There is a higher motive and it does not include an armed citizenry.

It appears that half, or maybe more than half, the people in this country believe that if my guns are stolen from me by jackbooted thugs that punk wouldn’t have shot those people.

People can no longer tell fantasy from reality and this will get worse until full blown mass dementia is achieved. Plan, or fate?

  • Casey Klahn February 15, 2018, 8:19 PM

I was itching to get in the quip that the FBI was apparently too busy with undermining the presidency, to investigate this young man. GEN Kelly beat me to it on Twitter. Damn.
If long guns were as evil as claimed, then the death rate by guns in America would be a million a year.
I well recall the guy, the hero, in Texas who hot-footed it down to the neighborhood church to exchange gunfire with the heinous church shooter. He used his AR-15 to fight the bad guy. Could he have used a .12 gauge riot gun instead? Hell yes, and I think the perp would’ve never made it to the door latch on his getaway car. But, the evil black rifle in his hands was adequate to the job.
Someone will no doubt mention that some guy named Nikolas Cruz was a registered democratic in that city in Fla where this atrocity took place. Maybe that’ll be disproven; they’re already trying to do just that. No matter. I am impressed enough with the long list of democratic shooters we’ve been appalled by in the past decade. How many NRA members are mass shooters? da, da, da, da, da, da, duuuh (Jeopardy theme). Zero.
My counter to the argument of disarmament is not the snarky go-to that we ought to instead just disarm democrats. That’d be too cutting; too precise. And, although it would be nearly 100% effective in ending gun crime, it’d be against the constitution. How many parties does the constitution call for? You’re ahead of me, aren’t you? I call for the disbanding of the democrat party.

I forgot to mention that you ought to listen to Ben Shapiro debunk the 18 in 2018 school shootings claim. It is pure baloney and he takes it apart, in detail. Here it is:

I was in an all day back and forth on CommonDreams yesterday. Despite withering personal attacks, I keep my cool and repeatedly asked this one question, probably a dozen times. Would you rather have a properly trained teacher in a classroom with a conceal carry or a crazed gunman?

I received not one answer but man-o-man did Republicans, conservatives, the NRA, the lunatic gun cult, toxic masculinity, my iron phallus, my obviously shrunken dick(I know, make up your mind), gun show loophole…get lots of air play.

I was hit many times with, we need reasonable gun control, and again, I asked many times, what exactly? crickets

My misuse of a comma did garner a comment telling me since I couldn’t handle my punctuation, there was no doubt I’d shot off a couple of fingers of everyone nearby when handling a weapon. In so many words.

Rationality is not their long suit.

  • Snakepit Kansas February 16, 2018, 4:46 AM

Train and then visibly arm a handful of teachers in each school, and this problem will go away.

  • Casey Klahn February 16, 2018, 7:06 AM

There must be, what, a thousand AR-15s in the city where this atrocity occurred? ARs are not the problem.

Just for a moment think about the gun confiscation that the socialists want. That is one violent scenario, huh? Not anywhere near an answer, but they bloviate without thought or compunction.

Why don’t we just ban school shootings? That’d be way easier than banning the AR.

The US constitution is a document of violence. You know that, right? It is a continual state of revolution against government control (tyranny in many cases). The most anarchist document ever; the 2d Amendment is there to prevent government from having an iron rule over the people. Power is devolved to the people, and with teeth.

Yes, by all and every means arm the staff at schools. Hire or volunteer armed military veterans to hang out at schools. Win, win, win.

Excellent point by you: if, as argued by the anti-gun crowd, the deaths and maimings are the fault of the guns, then I would agree, and argue, the no-gun zones are too. I mean, if we’re going to blame inanimate objects then let’s make a complete list.

  • Richard February 16, 2018, 7:41 AM

Interesting how the left appears to believe that the only people who should be allowed to have weapons are LEOs or the military. Two groups they normally denigrate and inherently distrust. To the extent that I was once amenable to the other point of view, I no longer am. Line of demarcation on this issue is bold and unmistakable. I’ve grown so weary of the left’s lies and narrative I reflexively tune it out. Haven’t listened to one minute of the “coverage”. Currently reading a book about no-go zones in Europe, where police will not respond due to their legitimate fears of being shot. Seems that the countries are supposed to be “gun free” zones. Well, as one well known asshat queried, “what happened?” So-called common sense gun laws are simply the thin edge of the wedge leading to outright confiscation. The Founding Fathers knew well the intrinsic abuses of autocratic government and, therefore, the indispensability of the Second Amendment.

  • RDB February 16, 2018, 8:02 AM

I’m not 100% sure I want armed teachers. We see too many stupid cops bungling shootings these days. Arming teachers who probably won’t have as much training could be a problem. The teachers won’t have the superiority complex the rogue cops have so maybe that offsets it. Not saying it is wrong, just think we need to be careful about going down this road.

  • Jim Anchor February 16, 2018, 8:49 AM

Lets start a “gofundme” for CC classes & permits and hand gun and rifle purchases for teachers and armed guards at schools.
You see were the school super at that shooting school wants gun control. Expect nothing less from Miami area- all east coast libterds.

  • Flannelputz February 16, 2018, 9:02 AM

I have tried, repeatedly, to discuss this issue with our low info leftists. I have listened patiently to their gun control arguments. When confronted with the substantive reasons why confiscatory gun control laws do not work, and are unconstitutional, they always say the same, stupid, vacuous phrase.
“ well, somebody has to do something”
I have heard this moronic comment over and over from so many of them. What does this even mean?

  • Jack February 16, 2018, 10:04 AM

In each instance of a mass shooting in the US the single known factoid in each instance has been that people who knew each shooter were well aware that the shooter was off the rails and that, in most cases, the police, the FBI and other “authorities” had been made damned well aware of the crazy and his intentions well in advance of his actions.

And, it has also been shown that all of them had far left leaning psychotic political ideals and teachers, friends and acquaintances of every kind had spoken up and expressed deep concern and yet nothing was done beforehand.

I’m not the least bit interested in painting gun owners and shooters with any kind of broad brush or doing anything to take their guns or their ammo. They aren’t the problem but psychosis and other forms of mental illness are.

So, maybe it’s time to force law enforcement on all levels to start paying attention and implementing action to head off these sobs before they can jump the reservation and instead of entering it into some database for retrieval after the event, the popo should pay the “threat” a visit, take his guns and immediately put his face and data into a national database, pending further investigation.

  • Jim in Alaska February 16, 2018, 10:11 AM

Wanna end mass shooting gun violence?
    Start with 2 parent families.
    Stay at home moms.
    Raise responsible children.
    Schools that educate, not indoctrinate.
    Rifle clubs in schools.
    Yes, I agree, that’s so 1950s
the era when I was raised
    without mass shooting gun violence.

  • ghostsniper February 16, 2018, 10:36 AM

Guns in the hands of gov’t employees is disastrous.
Requiring people to go to gov’t buildings is an abomination.
One day you too may realize how contemptible this gov’t is.

The last time I went into a gov’t building, last fall, the armed gov’t thug inside the door spotted my knife clip as I walked across the parking lot and stopped me at the door, told me I have to leave my knife in my vehicle. I complied and never took my eyes off of him after I re-entered, as he did me. I had my Buck Ranger 112 in my back pocket out of sight. Fukkem ded. NOBODY gets to tell me what I can possess and it would never occur to me to tell others what they can possess. People that do that shit are thugs and need to be disposed.

  • tim February 16, 2018, 12:35 PM

Another mass killing and right on que, before the bodies have even bled out, they of the delusional simplicity spew the ad nauseam “more gun laws” vapidness.

Their constant appeal to lawmakers to “do something” is absurd and especially perverse in regards to societal ills. What you end up with is utter silliness and absolute insanity such as “gun free” zones where the innocent go to die.

Yet they can’t be bothered to look in the mirror as they buy their sons ridiculously violent video games or music cd’s with explicit lyrics about gratuitous savagery. They’re the ones who idolizes and supports Hollywood that unabashedly glorifies gun violence.

They’ve made it harder for the mentally unstable to receive the necessary treatment they desperately need. All in the name of not offending anyone or violating anyone’s “rights”.

But those same “concerned citizens” are perfectly comfortable with people who violate our existing guns laws, who either get away with breaking the law outright or merely receive a slap on the wrist. All in the name of compassion.

Besides, they’re the same people that tell us laws don’t need to be enforced. They’re all in favor of completely ignoring our federal immigration laws. To speak nothing of the deaths of our fellow citizens at the hands of illegal immigrants safely here under that “sanctuary”. All so they can posture benevolently.

I’m not gonn’a be lectured by those that elect decade after decade those clueless politicians of a certain political party who run those cities with strict gun laws already on the books where people gun each other down day upon day upon day.

You don’t deserve my attention when you and endorse the thuggery of Antifa, or look the other way when Black Life’s Matter riots or guns down police officers.

So go ahead and continue to wonder why this keeps happening.

  • Casey Klahn February 16, 2018, 1:47 PM

Reading on the top of Drudge: the gov. of Fla wants the FBI director’s resignation. His head on a pike. That’s a very good start!
I’m really tired of hearing from rank and file FBI and former FBI how their organization is a respectable and professional one. Bullshit. One thing they totally misunderstand is the dynamics of organizations. They suck.

  • edaddy February 16, 2018, 5:02 PM

Public schools remind me of the 1980’s PTL Club and all the televangelists who’ve followed. It’s classic Alinsky Marxism.

Take religion, for example. Like our children, religion is a threat. So, hire they some buffoons and create your own caricature of what you want to get rid of. Like old Jim and Tammy Faye. Turn something respectable into something absolutely despicable and before long everybody hates it.

Well, folks, that exactly what the Left has done with education. When they see a school shooting, they inhale success like they’re snorting cocaine. And, the only thing better, in their minds, would be a college shooting. Gun control!

The Left doesn’t know it, but they have already failed. Why? Because now you can download a file and just print the damn gun … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DconsfGsXyA

The MSM ignores this capability because they know it absolutely disrupts their leftist meme. And, the technology is only getting better. Laser sintering, yadayada … yeah, it’s what I do. It’s getting real good.

When this technology makes gun control moot what will the Marxist Left going to do next?

I’d like sure like to hear others’ thoughts on this matter.

  • ghostsniper February 16, 2018, 8:05 PM

“When this technology makes gun control moot what will the Marxist Left going to do next?”
    =====================
It’s already covered by existing laws regarding the manufacture of firearms, but some people disregard laws, ie., recent Florida shooter, so the sintering machines will happen just the same. As far as I’m concerned it’s no ones business anything guns. It’s everyone’s interest about killings.

Essentially, it’s not about the tool but the action of the user. I can walk through any mall in this country with my hammer holster on with a 28oz Estwing waffle framer onboard, capable of cleaving 30 skulls in 30 seconds, and no one would be alarmed. But if I did the same, open carry my Beretta 92FS, diapers would be filled faster than you can count and in seconds battalions of gov’t thugs would insure I was dead.

Remus is right, avoid populated places. Emotional insanity has swept the nation.

  • Casey Klahn February 16, 2018, 11:08 PM

Maybe it’s good this argument about guns. It’s a reminder daily of what we stand to lose if we forget what the Bill of Rights preserves.
Florida? What an arfing hellhole, anyway. Fully populated, roaded and strip-malled. Even the beautiful waterways are strip malls, now. They’ve come a long ways since The Yearling, and the Seminole nation.
Te way things are going politically, they’ll be releasing the killer, next, and he’ll be on the talk show circuit pushing gun control.

  • ghostsniper February 17, 2018, 4:47 AM

“Florida? What an arfing hellhole, anyway.”
    =======================

True. I remember when it was very liveable.
Lived there from 1966 to 2006, 40 years, and saw the slow decline with my own eyes.
There are very few “crackers” (native born old skool originals) there now, and everyone is from everywhere else. Diversities ultimate goal. People go there to die. Me? I just couldn’t stand the heat, solar and friction, anymore so we moved out of the kitchen into the freezer in 2006 and haven’t been happier. I am haunted by the idea that we should have done that 20 years sooner.

  • Ten February 17, 2018, 12:06 PM

“I’m not 100% sure I want armed teachers. Not saying it is wrong, just think we need to be careful about going down this road.”

Already dealt with in this thread but let me add that this logic fails when you include the obvious: The walls-and-bars institution in which to indoctrinate the nation’s youts is itself child abuse. Culture is rotten to the core and is progressively, secularly that way (which in no way exonerates the merely ostensible “right”).

Neither side of the feckless, distracted, immune, partisan divide will do anything about either. Not one finger lifted. This is because they are actively supported out of myth and habit and momentum and cowardice.

“Teachers” should not be IN these places (as both exist presently), should not be paid publicly, should not submit themselves to the State for a paycheck, should not aid this obvious decline of reason and sanity, and should not in any way emulate either society’s wrong-headedness about LE in general or LE’s own inherent, rising conflict of constitutional interest.

Or have you not yet searched “SWAT in schools” and paged through just the images alone?

In other words, armed teachers is, as a construct, outright fallacious a dozen ways before you even get to the passive crime-prevention appliances called guns. The notion of hiring out social responsibilities like education and law enforcement to the state is flat-out faulty.

  • Ten February 17, 2018, 12:10 PM

“Florida? What an arfing hellhole, anyway. Fully populated, roaded and strip-malled. Even the beautiful waterways are strip malls, now.”

And you’re still a fool looking to create an image of yourself. Florida has a lot of strikes against but generalizations like that are ignorant bullshit, if for no other reason than just its geographic size.

There are entire regions in the US any sane person would never visit, much less live.

  • ghostsniper February 17, 2018, 1:21 PM

@Ten, I agree. Look at your property tax bill, the highest segment is always to the schools. People talk about free education is good for the nation, but public schools are the only thing in which you get 12 years worth and pay for it for the rest of your life. Even if you’ve never used them. We homeschooled our son yet still paid exhorbitant paroperty taxes in Florida for the privilege of other people to use the schools as very expensive “gov’t run day care centers of mass programming”. Pumping out 18 year old adolescents faster than you can count em that will never be any more than what they are at graduation.

But lets take a look at the other side for a second cause the schools aren’t going anywhere until a huge amount of parents decide they really do love and care for their charges instead of play acting like they do now. There are already armed gov’t thugs in all the schools, so why aren’t all entrances save one blocked off and that armed gov’t thug posted at that unblocked entrance? He’s (not she) already there, and being paid plenty, so why not make him “put his life on the line” for “america’s most valuable natural resource”? This is mostly an administrative effort and the cost per school would be minimal and could be implemented in a week or less.

    sigh

But instead there would have to be endless meetings that go on forever by squawkers squawking about nothing and in the meantime 47.275 more school shootings will occur and the candle makers will make a killing and media keyboards will be clicking like someone spilled a 5 gallon bucket of TicTacs and that rubber faced hor in Calif will contort herself again screaming that trump should take my guns……

Reader’s Digest used to have an article in every issue titled, “Life in these United States”, mostly jokes and funny tidbits, and life became reality as ever it was.

  • Snakepit Kansas February 17, 2018, 2:36 PM

    Ten,
Don’t over think this. I am not suggesting teachers be involved in law enforcement. I am simply saying that if you have every 10th teacher armed and proficient, the school shootings would stop. These psychos are always looking for a fish in a barrel. They don’t go into police stations or the local gun range to do their deeds. They go to where nobody is armed, and no better place than a public school.

  • Ten February 17, 2018, 3:18 PM

ghost, snake, the same contingent – whatever it was – that elected Trump could in the midterms eradicate progressivism. It could reinstate the Constitution. But that won’t happen. The left will rebound while meanwhile Trump won’t address any real structural threats. In a way you can’t blame him; being the Unpolitician cuts both ways.

The point is that none of us have our heads straight. We like this shit. Even the simple act of preserving a roughly 250 year old intellectual legacy of liberty was pretty much extinct half that time ago. The right did nothing. The right actually contributed.

Consider that there isn’t ONE recognized institute of original structuralism extant. That’s like every oncologist in a nation of cancer patients practicing on a plumber’s license and it being just fine.

More to the point, the sane did nothing. The psychos organized, got a party (or two) and there we have it. The ostensible right relegated itself to codependent arguing with the crazy, which tends to go pretty much like it always has.

Cultural rot and school shootings? In this framework that’s kinda inevitable. Response? The left will ban guns, the right will argue with it, and the foundational issues won’t be addressed because literally nobody wants to take the time to bother with it.

  • Casey Klahn February 17, 2018, 7:23 PM

Ten, I may not write with the precision of the angels, but I have read enough of your writing now to realize that you speak in the metro-sexual accent. Dude! This type of accent, the one now common in urban zones, is annoying and grinds the nerves. Please explain the draw of that gender free voice?

  • ghostsniper February 17, 2018, 7:49 PM

    “… the sane did nothing.”
    ==========
What are they to do when they are way out numbered? When the whole world is insane?
Playing within the system is the way of failure cause the cards are stacked against you.
I learned I can’t win while playing this game so I removed myself from the game.
This did not happen without great pain and expense.
I will continue to pay for the rest of my life.
But I am mostly out of the system and I’m better off for it.
I owe nothing and want nothing except to be left alone.

I understand that I now live in a world controlled by criminals and their associates (politicians and voters) and as long as both exist as they presently do there will never be freedom in this country.

The system cannot be fixed for it is flawed in it’s foundation, but that is exactly what everyone wants to do. Nobody even tries to come up with a different idea, as if they are all brain dead, or brainwashed. But mostly, they just don’t care. They struggle each day to maintain and after that there is little left over except to punch a chad now and then. In a way I don’t blame them. They mostly live within a system that was created long before they were born and see little in the way to fix it. It’s bigger than all of us together and must fail under it’s own weight. That’s probably the only way. I believe the end of this rotten assed gov’t (and the start of the next one) will come about through financial malfeasance. No one can live like this rotten assed gov’t lives forever. It’s unnatural, and criminal, and eventually criminals get their comeuppance.

  • ghostsniper February 18, 2018, 12:45 PM

Basically, all the shooting “incidents” have been created in one way or another by the gov’t.
Where there is no gov’t people behave and act kinder to each other because anything less causes justice to be rendered instantly, not 10 years later or never.
Yes, I’m a broken record, blame it on the subject matter that brings it out.
    I’m a hammer and the gov’t is a nail.

  • Casey Klahn February 18, 2018, 3:23 PM

I was thinking…well, stewing, really, about the gun confiscation millions of unwitting liberals are demanding. It amounts to a counter-revolution, when you reason it out in your mind. Our constitutional republic; ours the way it has come down to us, is a revolutionary document that devolves power to the people, and limits very strictly the govt. Free speech is fine, but freedom to bear firearms is the teeth. The constitution is a manifesto of freedom, and in the sense that it is anti government, which it is, it is an anarchist document.
It’s only worth the paper it is written on unless defended and upheld. When I hear “ban AR-15s,” I pretty much hear demoratics asking me to throw down (meaning: fighting words). I don’t get upset, though. I practice.
Hell, I’m still waiting to see that army of hippies whose bumper stickers cry “Free Tibet!” to skin their rifles and march on China. Then, I laugh and feel way better.

  • ghostsniper February 18, 2018, 6:23 PM

“…is a revolutionary document that devolves power to the people, and limits very strictly the govt.”
    ======================
It is nothing of the such, very obviously.
    Try this on.
If I hire you to paint a picture for me, did I paint it myself?
I mean, I hired you to do it for me so that is the same as me doing it myself, right?
Or, if I hire a lawyer to beat a lawsuit for me did I beat it myself?
    Of course not.
Neither is voting for political representation governing ones self.

Couple days ago I cut up a couple downed trees with the chainsaw.
I gassed it up, touched up the chain, lugged it down into the woods, yanked the rope and set about doing what needed to be done. I did it myself. I governed the whole affair as it were.
    See the diff?

Further, if I threw a chain and got injured I get to pay for the remedy myself.
If I hired someone to cut those trees and they threw the chain and got injured I don’t pay for the remedy. But my logs won’t get cut neither. But I can hire another log cutter, or wait til I heal and cut them myself after reinstalling the chain.

If I hire a politician and he doesn’t do as I say (represent me as I see fit) I have to continue to put up with his shit as long as he makes me suffer, which could very well be the rest of my life. This is the constitutions idea of self government which is a bald faced lie right out of the gate.

The politician is not directly beholding to the people that elected him. If you mess up my painting I can fire you and not pay you. I have no such tool for the errant politician. He can lie to me upfront to get elected and after he gets in he can hide from me for ever and I can’t wring his neck.

There is no accountability nor responsibility nor penalty for politicians that do not honor their word and there is nothing that can be done about it. AND, you get to pay him enormously for that privilege.

American politics is the ultimate crime family, like no other in history. The mafia can only wish they had it so good. At least the mafia is honest about it’s standings, it’ll tell you up front about what they will do to you. Cowardly, lying assed politicians are deceptive from start to finish and to add insult to injury they act like, and demand to be treated as, royalty. The entire subject is unbelievably galling.

We agree on much, Ghost. Surely you aren’t calling for democratic representation? The tyranny of the many against the few. I know you’re not. From what I understand of you, you’re closer to an anarchist. I already mentioned in my comment how I see the US governing documents to be as near to anarchism as one can really get.
No, politicians are at one of the lowest points ever. And that’s saying something because there have been shitty politicians our whole history.
Still every government answers to the people in the sense that they must be “led” by the government. Even Hitler had to convince. I just watched Darkest Hour last evening, and it gives a good telling of how the both Churchill and even the king were beholden to the people. Even farking Pol Pot had political reliance on his people, if not, why have to kill so many? They were his political enemies. But, political a nation is. It sucks, but it’s so.
Yes, the longevity of office holders in America is a huge problem. I’ve finally started to agree with the term limits planks. we need them badly.
I do feel less represented at this point in my life than ever before. But, at least I get to bitch and moan on American Digest (and I don’t get to on Twitter or facebo ok!).
By the way, you’ve described my job in terms of the applied arts. I’m in fine arts. I paint what I paint and the public gets very little input on it. You cannot fire me.

Anything more structural than what Kahn calls anarchism eventually turns into ghost’s reality. You don’t have to promote this or that system – and you don’t earn what I gather Kahn refers to from his identitarian projection – because that’s just the way it is. For example, anarcho-capitalism simply expects and accords that a man is as self-reliant as he is rightly self-governing. Statism assumes it presides over criminals, which it generally does.

A personal group of authentic solutions has the coherence not of a system but of a symphony. – Nicolás Gómez Dávila

Chose your poison and it is all poison to someone, somewhere. What, you thought G-d was going to make this solvable?

Faith in God does not solve problems, but makes them laughable. – Nicolás Gómez Dávila

Concerning structuralism, it’s amusing when a rightist demands that a right comes from G-d, as if asserting it makes it so, or if asserting it arrests another from taking it. Practical rights flow from man and all rights – which are structural agreements between parties – are practical. Always have been, always will be.

Philosophy is the art of lucidly formulating problems. Inventing solutions is not an occupation of serious intellects. – Nicolás Gómez Dávila

I assert nothing, Mr Ten. To express something that is self evident is to avoid arguing with fools.

Your phrases sound like they came out of a college bull session.

    Do you even own anything?

If you strand a man in the wilderness, he is self-reliant. Some suck at it; others thrive. I can make a fire out of just the shit I find on the forest floor, and no iron-age tools. Can you? Fast forward into the current era. I can heart a wild dog at a third of a mile with a deer rifle. You?

So, I end by saying that I also assume nothing. Because, you know what that does.

    Have a nice day.

It’s okay, Kahn, you don’t have to keep posing all the time.
