Let’s Review 96: “This Business Will Get Out of Control”

Raconteur Report: Who Could Have Predicted This?!? Batshit crazy Hispanic Democrat government union employee kills five with a shotgun. Betting that the story goes away completely in 3,2,…

Let’s just not go there to begin with, ok? UNHINGED: “Get Out of My Vagina!” Whoopi Rages at McCain in Meltdown Over SCOTUS, Abortion

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. – – – Proverbs 29

The one little minor teeny weeny tiny little flaw in the Democrats’ plan to use minorities to turn America blue is that before minorities come to comprise a majority of America they will first come to comprise a majority of the Democratic Party. That means that a whole lot of white Democrats will be out of jobs.

The Capital Gazette Attack: Is The Media Capable Of Understanding?   Until the day the right of all Americans to carry concealed weapons wherever they may be is universally observed, I will continue to argue for that right. I make the point because the police cannot protect anyone. In fact, they have no legal obligation to protect anyone. In any mass shooting, unless the victims have the ability, then and there, to shoot and stop the killer, some number of them are going to be injured and killed before the police, no matter how fast and dedicated, can possibly arrive. Until there are no more victim disarmament zones, no one plotting mass murder will be deterred. They will, rather, seek out such zones, as every contemporary mass murderer has.

Now we just need ancient crone Bader-Ginsburg to bail out as well. At 85, every day she wakes up is a roll of the actuarial dice (ducking pancreatic cancer some years back may have been a roulette wheel 00 stroke of good fortune), and she isn’t likely to make it to 2021, let alone 2025.

The mobs can be right-wing or left-wing. They can be religious or anti-religious. One of the most beautiful streets in the world is the Boulevard Saint-Germain, on the Left Bank of Paris. One night, during the Revolutionary years, the authorities packed some arrested Catholic priests into a horse-drawn coach to take them to the prison the revolutionaries had made of the old abbey. The mob, knowing that priests were in the coach, set upon it with fury, plunging swords through the walls of the carriage. By the time the coach arrived at the prison, blood was gushing out of the holes left by the swords.

Declare a suitable sector at the border (say 5 miles wide, from the Gulf of Mexico to San Ysidro CA, inclusive) as henceforth under federal martial law, due to unmitigated lawlessness and the attendant national security crisis of letting thousands of terrorists and criminals into the country, and send in military troops (active duty, and not the effing Notional Guard), subjecting all detainees to military justice, and removing the federal judiciary from any say in the process entirely.

The Democrats Go Full Venezuela Without Bernie, there would be no Alexandria. Sanders is a kind of child molester, dressing up for our extraordinarily uneducated younger generation this same tawdry ideology that is as totalitarian today in 2018 as it was in 1918 and doing it without the slightest acknowledgment of what transpired from those ideas. He is in many ways a Father Coughlin of the left, a (somewhat) riveting speaker preying on the minds of a gullible public.

On Harley-Davidson’s Big, Fat Mistake – By relocating to Europe, Harley is simply ticking off their loyal (overwhelmingly Trump-supporting) customers. In the end, they stand to lose more American business than they’ll gain in Europe. After all, how many limp-wristed Democrats buy hogs?

By relocating to Europe, Harley is simply ticking off their loyal (overwhelmingly Trump-supporting) customers.

No, it is not the relocation that ticks off their customers. First, it’s not a relocation, it is an addition. HD announced a looong time ago that would build plants overseas, including Europe. They plan to build in Thailand, too. But I am pretty sure that no US domestic production is being moved overseas, to build bikes there that would be imported into the US to sell.

What ticks off their customers here is the the bald-faced lying by the CEO on down that the Euro plant is being built because of Trump’s tariffs. HD’s domestic customer base is very mostly MAGA-oriented, and that does not sit well with them.

That said, HD has a decidedly shrinking domestic customer base. Millennials are not buying motorcycles in droves.

I’ll not do Harley again, once was enough. Unless some unbelievably excellent deal comes along.
But I might do something else.
Been more than 20 years since I was last on a motorized 2 wheeler and I am appalled.
The other day at the gas station I encountered 4 old doods on new jap bikes meant for street and off road. Got to yapping and the next thing ya know I’m wanting one. 2 were Kawasaki’s and 2 were Suzuki’s, all were 650 cc. Nice. Very nice. I can see my ass propped up on one of them. Brrppp…Brpp….Brp…
45mpg, 150 mile range, carry 2 spare gallons, etc.
    About $6k. new.
The last 2 wheeler I rode was my brothers 750 Suzuki and the lat one before that was a 1000 Suzuki and before that was a friends 750 Kawasaki 750 triple, H2.
A young part of me wants to get one right now but the old part of me says to think about it awhile.
I wonder if I can get a camo wrap for the tank?

    Whoopi … don’t worry.
No one wants to get near, let alone have entry into your behind or your vajayjay

Re: Harley-Davidson- I agree with what you said, but the link goes to Anthony Kennedy’s retirement.

Is he going to retire to ride a hog? That would be cool!

  • Vanderleun June 29, 2018, 1:17 PM

    Ooops… thanks esky. fixed.

Retiring to ride a Hog…wasn’t that what Janets Reno and Napolitano were supposed to do?

  • Old Fert June 29, 2018, 7:45 PM

I’m still mad at Harley (when they were AMF’s) getting the Reagan admin to double the tariffs on riceburners. Ooops, I just looked it up, it wasn’t doubling, it was a tenfold increase.

    OhioGuy,
AGREED! Whoopi is nobody’s fap fantasy.

I’ve been riding my 1982 Sporty for over 30 years. I’d never sell it. If my son wants it after he grows up, all his.

Poor Fr. Coughlin. The FDR Democrats loved him… until he started pointing out what was wrong with FDR’s programs. Then he was instantly transmogrified into an evil Nazi/conservative.

I still have never seen a real history or biography of the man, probably because he got unpersoned so fast. His only legacy these days is the lovely shrine church of St. Therese, up in a suburb of Detroit.

Here’s why I feel sorry for him. In his last years of obscurity, he spent some time with the tiny offshoot of contemplative Precious Blood sisters in Northern Ohio. (These included the Lebanese-heritage lady who had visions of Our Lady of America — an approved apparition that is now interesting a lot of folks.) He left them some property on the condition that they pray for his soul.

The active life Precious Blood sisters in Dayton, Ohio, who had been taken over by Sixties-era sisters whom the contemplatives had wished to escape, kicked out the contemplatives once and for all — but managed to get the courts to award them the land.

They sold it to another religious group. Which was not only imprudent, but assured that Fr. Coughlin would not have anyone praying for his soul (once the contemplatives died off).

The sad thing is that the Precious Blood active sisters aren’t nearly as bad as some other ruined orders; but messing with a real visionary or a man’s attempt at penance? Petty behaviors that reveal petty souls.
