Let’s Review 33: Temporary Smaller Government Edition

Don’t Ever Do This Or, So Help Me, I Will Kill You Numale Grin, also known as the Soylent Smile, is the worst thing to hit the internet since duck face, Kim Kardashian’s big fat greasy ass, and dress-wearing interstellar fruit trade novelist John Scalzi got together and made a retarded gay baby that does nothing except post shitty social justice screeds on Tumblr all day long when not white knighting for fishmouthed feminist fuglies on Twatter.

In league with the humorless screechy drama queens who interrupt sensible society with their obsessions, there is a cadre of cads, ever present and primed to overturn the works of more thoughtful and reflective citizens of the republic. These creepy comrades have managed to twist legitimate universities into Mobius contortions of civility and discourse which only appear to be two-sided. Protection From Words – Cobb

Of Home Truths and Shitholes We live in a surreal moment when it becomes ever harder to tell the truth about sensitive subjects. Donald Trump has strutted across our timid landscape like a wrecking ball, telling truths, putting noses out of joint. The toffs will never forgive him, but I suspect the American people have stronger stomachs and are up to the task.

War with North Korea Is Inevitable Dictators must surround themselves with a ring of sociopathic murderers. Only such people can be trusted to subject mass populations to hunger, disease, and lives of hopelessness. Only such people can carry out the orders that imprison many thousands for the slightest hint of disloyalty and then torture them beyond description.

*It’s the slow knife…the knife that takes its time. The knife…that waits years without forgetting…then slips quietly between the bones. That’s the knife…that cuts deepest -Talia al Ghul

The vast majority of people championing open borders have no monetary incentives. They are doing it because they view the issue in purely moral terms. They are pro-immigrant in the same way normal people are pro-life….. It’s also why appeals to reason never work with these people. We are ruled over by fanatics, convinced that anything worth doing is worth overdoing. They are like addicts seeking a high more intense than the one before it. You don’t talk an addict out of his blind quest for the ultimate high. He has to find that limit on his own. That usually means dying in a pool of his own vomit. That’s most likely the fate of our rulers. They will realize they have gone too far just as the trap door snaps open and they begin the drop. The Answer Is Always More

Does it really need to be said that you can’t take all that shit and continue to live?

I went to a doctor and a dentist last year and both were shocked when they asked me if I was taking a variety of various drugs and they named them off one by one and I said no.

I’ve heard the statistics on the number of people in the US taking multiple OTC drugs and can’t really get my head around it. Maybe if people spent more time moving their asses and less time stuffing their face cave they’d spend less time/money in the medical facilities.

Guess it all comes down to what you value.

Sooooooo, it turns out that Tom Petty, apart from being a mediocre “songwriter”, was a hard-core drug user.

Sounds like he was as bad as Prince or Michael Jackson and not the paragon of virtue so many here touted.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least.

Have the scales finally fallen from your eyes yet?

@Fuel, 8 years ago my FIL died but before he did the medical establishment did it’s best to torture him by first and foremost lack of communication resulting in misprescribing many diffferent chemicals that had detrimental side effects in the various combinations. In 6 months time he had to be ambulanced to the ER because of these combinations. “There is no one in charge.”

When I see the numerous prescription drug commercials on TV I have to laugh out loud when they say something like, “Ask your doctor if such and such chemical is right for you.” There is no “your doctor” any more. All doctors now are specialized and none of them seem to converse with each other. Thus, when doctor A prescribes chemical 00 to a patient and then doctor B prescribes chemical 11 to the the same patient nobody is concerned about the consequences from these oft times deadly prescriptions.

My wife and I did unbelievable research into all the chemicals that were prescribed to my FIL but frankly you have to be a scientist get anywhere positive. Once in awhile we’d see a red flag in the combinations but again the communication process in todays medical world are so fucked up you are mostly just wasting your time. It was common to call the hospital with out concerns, push #435 for so and so only to be greeted by a machine telling us to leave a message and someone will get back with us. Then 3 days later a college level intern would call us back and between poppin her gum and saying “like” in every sentence the best she could offer was that she would pass our concerns on, or not.

If you end up with a serious medical calamity today I honestly can’t say calling 911 is your best choice. If you don’t call you may die in your own bed with people that care about you in your presence, and if you do call you still may die, but horribly in a strange brightly lit white environment surrounded by gum poppers that don’t give a shit.

Petty was most likely caught up in this nightmare.
    His hip pain was difficult.
Both of my hips were fractured in 7 different places, along with a broken left femur and left elbow, from a parachute fall and I can understand his pain. I can’t understand the uncaring of the medical personel. Money trumps morality.

Yep, a little on the cool side. The coldest I can attest to with assurance, in my yard, here in North Pole, Alaska, was -60°F. (-51°C.) (that as low as the numbers went on the thermometer I had at the time, but the mercury fell significantly below the numbers.).

I’ve been to the Saka Republic, where, Oymyakon is, in summer and winter and they are hearty people.

I really liked old Tom, and I was actually sad when he died. I am sorry he was in that much pain.
