Let’s Review 132: From Bukowski to Bolsonaro

1913-1915: Views of Tokyo, Japan (speed corrected w/ added sound)

“We’re all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn’t. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing.” — Charles Bukowski

YEARS ago when I bought my first gun and progressively-demented friends   asked me why I bought one I would always answer, “I never ever want to use it, but if I ever need to use a gun it will be too late to shop.”

This Jewish Boy Is Going to Buy a Gun | Roger L. Simon    I will buy a gun with a heavy heart. It’s not something I really want to do. I don’t enjoy hunting (I’ve tried it) and find target practice only mildly diverting, something I would only want to do a few times a year. (I’ll have to do more.) But the world gives me little choice, not just as a Jew but as a citizen. Self-defense is common sense.

Liberals have tut-tutted the rise of right-wing populism in Europe, but whose fault is this phenomenon?    Isn’t it true that the European elite have created this problem by encouraging cultural decadence? “If you don’t want the Third Reich, don’t welcome the Weimar Republic.”

5 Reasons This “College-Educated White Woman” Will Never Vote Democrat Again 1. Democrats Use Women.

“But what is racist?” Kelly asked. “Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character.”

When a leftist tried to assassinate a bunch of Republican members of Congress on a baseball field  about a year and a half ago and came very close to succeeding, it was only covered relatively briefly considering the incident’s severity, and the political motivations of the perp were sometimes minimized or denied.

Would it really kill a perfumer to come up with a man’s scent that’s more like sawdust, pipe tobacco, or straw? Scents that are more associated with manliness and work than a fruity French noble strutting the halls of Versailles? Apparently so, but I don’t suppose perfumers are big on traditionally masculine labor and exploits, really.

Candy Corn Haters: How to Make Them Love It – While a traditional Jell-O shot is just Jell-O and vodka, this recipe for candy corn Jell-O shots ups the ante in a couple different ways. First of all, it’s layered white, orange, and yellow to look like a candy corn (presentation is half the battle). But, more importantly, it’s about 10 times sweeter than a regular old Jell-O shot.

The business model for sneaker companies is simple. They want black kids buying their sneakers. Since Americans worship black people and youth culture, whatever black kids like, gets bought by Americans and then the people of the provinces.

Ugly, Misshapen, Tatted, Fat Catladies Hate Trump |  They think they are influencers, as if human nature has changed overnight and suddenly sane people with working disgust thresholds will forget to be repulsed by the sight of them, and join their gross, sweaty hugbox to beat back the bad orange man.

You CAN drink away your troubles, study says: Alcohol affects a gene making your brain forget the bad times and only remember the good ones

It was John Wayne who mostly enjoyed Wyatt Earp’s storytelling and fetched him cups of coffee while listening to his tales with gusto, using every detail he heard in his later famous portrayals of cowboys and lawmen. At the time though, his name was still Marion Morrison and he worked as a prop boy.

The Woman Who Invented the Green Bean Casserole Dorcas Reilly, who came up with the iconic American dish in the 1950s, has died at 92

Most likely to: scuttle out of the corner of your vision at 2 a.m. Did you know sea spiders aren’t actually spiders? Did you know that their legs are basically thin tubes and that some of them glow in the dark? Did you know that you’ll never sleep again?

Far-right Bolsonaro wins Brazil presidential race “We cannot continue flirting with communism … We are going to change the destiny of Brazil,” Bolsonaro said in an acceptance address in which he vowed to carry out his campaign promises to stamp out corruption after years of leftist rule.

‘Nothing to Gain,’ Kavanaugh Accuser Raises Nearly $1 Million | “I want to thank you,” added California Sen. Kamala Harris, “because you clearly have nothing to gain for what you have done.” In fact, Ford stands to gain some $1 million and counting from national crowdfunding campaigns launched by friends and other supporters, while she is said to be fielding book offers.

Re: Political violence, left and right
    ++++
Since I don’t watch the MFM and its agit-prop showgrams, I can’t speak definitively on this, so maybe someone else can. Was the nature of the communication between would-be Steve Scalise assassin Hodgkinson and Dicky Durbin ever disclosed? Seems like inquiring minds might have wanted to know. I know I was sure curious. Probably something our govt tenders decided we didn’t need to trouble ourselves with.
As I recall, the reportage of that whole left-wing lunatic assassination attempt had an amazingly short half-life and very quickly went down the rabbit hole.

The green bean casserole is like manna. Nobody makes it, it just somehow materializes at Thanksgiving dinner. Sometimes you find it on your plate even if you didn’t want it there. Even if you didn’t put it there. It’s like that guest whom no one invited. (btw– new blog. Something special)

Quothe Clint Eastwood: “I have a very strict gun control policy. If there’s a gun around, I want to be in control of it.”

Richard, I wondered what had become of the shooter, and why I was seeing nothing on him.
A month or so ago I read the cops had shot him at or near the ball field.

RE: Jew Boy buys a gun – You joined the NRA but don’t want to offend the family by actually owning a gun. FFS. It is your moral responsibility to protect yourself, your family and your way of life. Yeah, call the cops in an emergency, they may as well bring a wet/dry shop-vac to clean up the blood and guts after the fact because the bad guys will have slaughtered your family and raped the women before Johnny Law shows up. How about all those cops sitting outside in fear as mass killers shoot folks in schools or from a hotel? You want to count on the cops? The equivalent SEAL Team 6 isn’t going to show up to save your ass just because you call 911. As a Jew, from you should know better, even while in some liberal puke enclave. WWII History, recent history or the Old AND New Testament should let you know that as a Jew you are a walking target with a neon bulls eye on your back, and that would not have changed with Hillary/Ol Cankles in office. You thought exercise for you health was more important than a twice/month trip to the gun range. Sounds like you woke up. About time.

    Tell it Snake.
But you are probably wasting your time, besides the Jew Boy won’t read your words.

I sit here in an idle moment and look at the front door of my office and notice it is unlocked. It’s 9:30 at night and back here in the sticks there is no city lights aura in the sky. If the moon isn’t on, then it’s pitch black out there. As I look at that unlocked lock I ponder what I would do if it suddenly opened and a stranger or 3 stepped in.

My Beretta is in my desk drawer but I don’t know if I can activate it before the stranger spans the 10′ from the door to where I am sitting. I suspect not. My Gerber Quickdraw is laying here on my desk and I’m about 90% sure I can grab it and swing it open before the bad dood gets to me, but I am sitting and he is not. Maybe I can get him in the gut. You know, plunge, plunge harder, twist, plunge harder while twisting. Repeat. While standing up from my chair and kneeing him in the nuts. That sort of thing.

    But wait.
Shannon’s laying over there on her rack gnawing on her brand new chew bone. She hears everything. She hears stuff before it happens. I think she’s psychic. That gives me a 100 foot head start. Say, out to the end of the driveway. Yeah, if someone walks into our driveway Shannon will hear it and go instantly ballistic.

When she does that I will Tab to the IR/UV cameras on the desktop and see what’s up. It takes the camera about 2-3 seconds to come online and while it’s doing that I’ll unass this chair and grab the Rem 870 sitting in it’s rack. Then I’ll look at the monitor and see what Shannon heard, if anything. This actually happens frequently around here. Usually it a ‘possum or ‘coon. Or a deer or coyote. Interestingly enough I have only seen coyote’s maybe a doz times around here with my own eyes, even though I hear them all the time, specially at night, but I have seen them many times in the camera’s.

Shannon weighs 47lbs and when alerted has a very deep, aggressive bark. Terrifyingly so. I have seen trespassing church folk lay long rubber when she lunges at the office door, never to return. Some soliciting politicians too. The latter, I’m certain, soiled themselves as they are want to do. It appears there are people out there that never learned a basic premise, “Leave other people’s shit alone”. They think that, because we exist, they get to address us. In my entire life it never occurred to me to walk up to a strangers house and interrupt them with sordid versions of retardedness.

It is Shannon that is the vanguard part of my, and my wifes, life extension philosophy. Without her I’d have to refigure my current configuration. Perhaps a self locking door – but then that brings in other issues, like being accidently locked out of my own office. You get the picture.

Jew Boy can buy a gun if he wants, I guess, but that alone will not address the issues he is concerned with. As you said, he has to take on the mental and physical aspect requirements of 100% responsibility for all of his life. If he sanctions any of it to others than he will be disappointed, or maimed or dead. A gun can be a good thing or a bad thing, but it is only a thing. It doesn’t think, and it doesn’t act. It does only what it’s possessor asks of it, and as far as self protection goes, that requires a continuous thought process with lots of contingencies. When danger and violence are on your doorstep is not the time to be trying to figure stuff out. That time is past. As far as guns go, two is one and one is none, but as many as you want is never enough.
