Any form of storing dead body’s seems very primitive and has always given me the creeps.
Ashes or chum should be the choices in the advanced new millennium.
Yeah, I’ve wandered the old graveyards, they have lots of them around here, but it was always by someone else’s suggestion, never my own. I take no pleasure in pondering the dead, especially the dead I have never known. My grandfather is buried right next to Molly Pitcher and I saw his grave once, when I was 4, the day after his funeral.

I’ve been to Hong Kong a couple times. While flying in and looking at the endless matrix of tall apartment and business buildings, it had me estimating that on average most of the population had to be above ground level the entire day. There is such a concentration of people there that they have to reside vertically. That is how they can currently quickly swamp the streets with protesters against their Chinese rulers.

Almost puts to shame the giant Higashi Otani Cemetery in Kyoto.

Had no idea this existed. First pic looks vaguely similar to Chichen Itza, the ruins of the Mayan city. Dizzying, indeed. The sheer numbers of dead on those hills. Hong Kong must irritate TPTB on the mainland mightily, with this stronghold of ancient Chinese veneration of elders, and the dead.

Nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there.
