Google Memo: Fired Employee Speaks Out! | James Damore and Stefan Molyneux

Why would a successful Google engineer risk his career to make the case against Google’s current diversity initiatives? Former Google employee James Damore describes the intense media backlash to his Google diversity memo, intolerance shown towards political diversity in the company, the importance of discussing gender differences and why he wrote the memo in the first place.

A normal person listens to this interview and thinks, “Seems like a nice, intelligent kid who makes a reasoned, fact-based argument worthy of further consideration.” A leftist listens to the same interview and thinks, “Damned little fascist got what he deserved!”
Insanity is the inability to see reality. The left is insane.

If Mr. Damore plans to take legal action, he might perhaps take Lionel’s advice and stop talking. He does seem rather a babe in the woods.

Having already watched 45 minutes of video, what’s 35 more? (Forgive Lionel, I don’t think he can help it.)

Mr. Damore has thrown a monkey wrench into a scheme the left has been running in corporate America for many years. Affirmative Action is widely mistrusted as reverse discrimination there, so the left uses “Diversity” as a way to promote the values and achieve the same outcomes as Affirmative Action, without naming it as such. The dishonesty of the reporting on Damore’s paper is symptomatic of the intellectual rot in the underpinnings of current HR practices.

A family member who is a believer in the “reputable” (i.e. big) media wanted to discuss this story. I asked her if she had read the Damore paper, and she replied she had only read some quotes from it, complaining she didn’t know how to get the full text because it was not available in the newspaper. I pointed out to her that this was a very convenient way to limit what people know about such issues, was it not? I also pointed out that not a single one of the “quotes” she had read were actual quotes from the paper at all, but were in fact quotes from critics of the paper claiming to characterize what it said. I pointed out that the use of a variety of such quotes was a very convenient way to give readers the illusion they had an in depth understanding, without actually giving them the chance to get it for themselves.

I don’t think our discussion is going to happen, since I told her I will not discuss the paper until she has read it. Now she is trying to find it in a “reputable” place, and can’t!

If your friend doesn’t expand her news reading list, she will never find the complete text.

Danmore: It’s awful hard to get anything said around this monocultural echo chamber.
    Google: You’re fired.

Finally someone who drew a line in the sand and stood by it so good for him. The result was inevitable. So he is young and got fired. He will recover.

    What’s google?

  • Howard Nelson August 10, 2017, 11:05 AM

A google is the contracted order, ” go ogle.” Advising this lechery is one aspect of promoted decline by debauchery.
Rot the soul, destroy what were common meanings and understandings of words, and you get programmed robots with no comprehension of their own reasoning.

“…programmed robots with no comprehension of their own reasoning…”

One small point, they have biological pain receptors.
Coordinated manipulation of the receptors will achieve desired results and calculated future behavior.
The Chasmatic approach usually works well.

The tide seems to be slowly turning against the Retrograde Slurring Jealous Whiners in all their intersectionality.
RSJW and there institutions are being sued by injured individuals. Universities where RSJW have been allowed to run riot are experiencing reduced freshman enrollment applications. Top administrators at these institutions of ineptitude are being forced to resign. There is a move to reduce transgender personnel in the military. The Intersectionalists are experiencing turmoil as component m.gembers compete for resources to promote their specific demands. This unraveling, cannibalizing action will become more frenzied in the near future. People of Color of different shadings are becoming more choleric with their differently shaded ‘comrades.’
This Intersectionality is morphing and dwarfing into a Confluence of Asinine Corruptive Agents (CACA).
It will be instructive to see how Google responds to the exodus of their talent and coming leakage of technical secrets by dissatisfied employees who feel betrayed by the CACA’s suffocating atmosphere.

    h/t Instapundit today:
“Google cancels all-hands diversity meeting over safety concerns. Google feared questioners would face threats if their names leaked online.”
Perhaps a perversity meeting would be more acceptable.
