In general I oppose the extinction everybody under 30, but after this I am open to persuasion…..

I didn’t mind (Indeed, I didn’t notice.) when “Kate Bush” (“Kate Who?” “Another VoiceByAutoTune drooler. Forget her.”) emitted this little owl pellet:

But then the Brain-Dead-Bitches Club and their bewigged and bearded fellow travelers started whipping this out on an annual basis….

Ya gotta get your kicks somehow. Some of us do it with interpretive dance.

Good grief!! What the Hell is that?

  • Vermont Woodchuck December 5, 2017, 11:49 AM

Hmmm! That seems to be a varting contest. One doesn’t wish to be in the back rows.

Dear Kim Jong Un: feel free to nuke us now.

That’s not Kate Bush. That doesn’t even sound like Kate Bush. I mean, I know she’s almost elderly now, but surely she didn’t strain her voice that badly?

This is Kate Bush – “Cloudbusting”

Not my favorite singer, but when you’re in the mood to listen to something rock that sounds “arty”, you can reach for some old 80’s album you happen to have around.

I don’t know. Here’s another official music video of the same song in the same era.

Okay, watched the whole video instead of just listening to the first few seconds. So that’s back in her early career, when she spent more time in her upper octaves. Ouch, that’s high. But yeah, she actually sounds vocally comfortable except when purposefully being screechy. It’s just the rock equivalent of singing one of the “happy” mad songs in opera, like the one in Lucia di Lammermoor. And she’s dancing weirdly, because she’s basically doing the same kind of thing in modern dance. So yeah, she adequately portrays Cathy being totally out of her tree.

What’s wrong is not that other people want to do it too, like it’s some kind of Zombie Walk. It’s that they think Cathy is supposed to be an attractive figure, like some kind of Lucia di Runway.

Sigh. I wish I had four octaves, but I don’t wish for crazy fans like that.

And the sad thing is, I was alive during the Seventies, and I still couldn’t tell what was going on, for quite a while. Me wants more explicable pop culture.

  • Suburbanbanshee December 5, 2017, 12:37 PM

Oh, here’s the happy mad song from Lucia di Lammermoor. It’s got the spooky glass harmonica music in this version, for maximum creepiness.

No mob of pink moonbats would be complete, without the requisite bearded guys in their flowing chiffon dresses, leaping and cavorting in gay abandon. Wonder if anyone died from the estrogen overdose?

    Not my cuppa tea, thanks.

I lived in the UK for 3 years, 1980-83. This was when the Brit androgynous sound was at its peak. So I saw a lot of Modern Romance, Culture Club, Human League, and David Bowie. Coming back on leave and discovering Prince, well, that wasn’t so much of a shock. But Kate Bush was always interesting. Now if this is the only thing you heard from her, well, I do understand.

Now, for your Norwegian heavy metal covers of 80s pop standards, with bonus cute girl who totally isn’t John Bolton’s daughter, I’m sure:

    I have no opinion here.

Heard some screaming. Wondered if maybe the zombie apocalypse had begun. Saw the Calais truckdriver vid; pretty sure the ZA has come.

Shucks a round of Zombie ammo in his 12 guage…

The best music that started in the early ’80s was from Weird Al Yankovic.

This is an MGM musical number in the inescapable depths of Hell eternal.

Has there ever been so many future barren wombs and cat ladies in one video? What would possess any young woman to suppose this was reasonable?
