It’s summer. It’s Friday. Like it or love it, Donald Trump is still the President. Might as well dance.

Who Am I? by Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
in the universe.
Duty, Beauty, Liberty, Country, Honor, Family, Faith — Plus a few simple easy to follow rules for guys
The Vault
Take It Where You Find It
Men saw the stars at the edge of the sea
They thought great thoughts about liberty
Poets wrote down words that did fit
Writers wrote books
Thinkers thought about it
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
Many’s the road I have walked upon
Many’s the hour between dusk and dawn
Many’s the time
Many’s the mile
I see it all now
Through the eyes of a child
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
And close your eyes
Leave it all for a while
Leave the world
And your worries behind
You will build on whatever is real
And wake up each day
To a new waking dream
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Change, change come over
Change come over
Talkin’ about a change
Change, change
Change come over, now
Change, change, change come over
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light

Excellent!
People, in general, used to have class.
Debbie and Donald are my favorite paring.
If my Mrs. and I could dance 💃🏻 🕺🏻 like that, we’d be AWESOME 👏!
We keep working on it, if just to make ourselves smile. 🙂 I keep trying and if only we could move like the couples in the clips.
Thanks for the post 👍🏻
A.D. is the first site I visit early each morning with my first cup and surprises like that vid are part of the reason I attend this class first. Very enjoyable and pleasing and I couldn’t help but think that even the Lord smiles at this.
I come from a dancer family, sister, wife, daughter. When I first saw this video a few years ago, I thought to myself, ‘What a Labor of Love’. Whoever put this together was truly inspired and talented, down to getting the old clips of these actors to appear to be matching the Lyrics of the modern song in lip sync. Whoever did it, I wish they would do more.
Oh, thank you. That was extremely wonderful!!!!!!!
That was marvellous, and bittersweet.
It reminds me of the culture we once had, for one brief shining moment in time.
my face hurts from smiling so broadly-thank you
Makes me want to gyrate like a caffeinated schnauzer.
Here’s a Side B — Hottest actresses of the Sixties dancing to “Green Onions”. Not quite as good as the Main Attraction but still mesmerizing. The theme seems to revolve around that awesome moment when the two sexes are attempting to make that life changing connection
But then at 1:15, Ann Margaret Olsen shows up in skintight pants and blows the whole theme to hell; but who cares. It’s Ann Margret — the women was a Cat 5 estrogen tornado!!

Oops, pushed submit before I had entered my name
BTW, check out the outro with Raquel Welch. It looks like she’s actually dancing to Green Onions
Here’s another good one: Rita Hayworth dancing to ‘Stayin Alive’: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz3CPzdCDws
