Who says there’s no good news?

FDNY firefighters nab man who sucker-punched elderly woman

“Motive for assault unclear.”

As my sainted mother would say, “Yeah right.”

Good work FDNY! Glad they were at the firehouse and not on a call.
Hope the person attacked is OK; hope this vermin gets what he deserves ( unlikely in De Blasio’s town.
What these evil feral bastards fail to realize is that the police are protecting them from the righteous wrath of decent people who want to see this uncivil behavior properly punished

    Daniel Biggs, eighteen prior arrests.

And Bill Di Blasio will have Biggs back out on the street faster than you can click up another website.

  • ambiguousfrog September 8, 2020, 8:26 PM

“Allegedly” is an oft overused description as well, especially when video evidence exists.

18 priors? Is that a lot?

  • PA Cat September 8, 2020, 8:30 PM

Yep, catch-and-release as usual in NYC: from the linked article, “[the perp] was arraigned the following day and ordered held on $20,000, but was released without bail after a return court appearance four days later, court records show.”

At some point the vigilantes take over, and guys like Biggs just disappear. Usually that didn’t turn out so well in the past, and the vigilantes were a net negative.

  • Bram September 9, 2020, 6:28 AM

She was walking down the street looking at her phone. I won’t do that walking through my little town. In a city, my head is on a swivel and situational awareness is turned all the way up.

  • Terry September 9, 2020, 6:38 AM

The NYFD may be a higher caliber of individuals than the NYPD.

When the goons from the top (Mayor) down are in control, best get out while you are still able to. The cowardice captured on video is sickening. From 200 plus pound goons on bicycles to cops in military battle gear who do nothing but drink coffee and donuts it appears the big cities are a total failure. Bad idea when subcultures are allowed into the nation.

F**k diversity. Who in their right mind would dilute a glass of superb wine with urine.

The problem here is that the gov’t thugs with their monopoly on force got involved. That street thug of african descent will be back out on the skreet in a couple hours (18 priors).

What should have happened is 2 fit white boys take that savage down with multiple severe disfiguring and disabling-debilitating compound injuries. Turn that metropolis born, gov’t raised, repeat criminal into a thing that nobody wants to look at, and that will quickly collapse into itself and die.

When people start to get serious about this stuff it will disappear, and yes, getting serious with it is in your future. I mean, how else do you expect it to be eradicated?

    I have a dream . . . .

There is a squadron of C-130s at Minneapple International. It’s an Air Force Reserve wing. One sees them practicing formation flying at airdrop altitudes.

Minneapolis police will tell you there is about 80 people who generate about half the violent crime in Minneapolis. The police know exactly who these 80 are. It’s family and gang related, multigenerational. (note: we have an increasing problem with groups of violent Somali teens also. I guess our magic dirt didn’t work on them).

I see some unmarked vans. The vans allow a group of well trained people to drop on and snatch one of the 80. The van then drives to the AFR base on the north side of the airport and drops off a well-restrained, hooded person.

After dark, a C-130 takes off for a training flight over Lake Superior. The flight path will take them over the deeper portions of the lake. Now here there’s a option: each passenger could be harnessed in a parachute. However, those passengers, being hooded and restrained, fail to make the very critical act of hooking their static line to the aircraft. Thus, when the passenger begins his drop to the lake, his parachute does not activate. When he hits the water, the weight of the parachute pack takes him down very quickly (assuming he survived the impact with the lake).

Or, one could just throw them off the rear ramp. This would save on parachutes.

I think it would take about 30 mysterious disappearances before the word got around that life in Minneapolis was no longer paradise.

Did this Democrat (NYC afterall) not understand that elections have consequences?

I’ve run out of sympathy for white liberals. you vote for scum, you get to live in the cesspool.

  • Jack September 9, 2020, 7:59 AM

If I was the king, he’d have been hung by his lousy f’ing neck within minutes of his capture and left as a reminder.

  • Fuel Filter September 9, 2020, 8:11 AM

Gordon, I believe you’re advocating the Pinochet solution to Commie malfeasance.

    ‘Cept he used choppers.

Other than that, I like the way you think!

  • Anne September 9, 2020, 9:29 AM

Has anyone else noticed that most of the females protesting for BLM (raiding, rampaging, etc.) are way over weight? The white men are skinny (probably raised by single moms). Just wondering . . .

  • Aggie September 9, 2020, 9:49 AM

Given the display of heart by these firefighters, and the sleaziness of the prosecutorial system that released the perp after a day or so, the day will come -maybe it’s already here- when people just prefer for stories like this to never make it to the reporters. I am looking for the widespread failure of CCTV systems as a leading indicator that people have reached their saturation point.

I don’t think perps like this will be killed. I think they’ll have every bone in their body broken to remove them as an active threat to society and make them a full-time burden for somebody else to get sick of.

  • Casey Klahn September 9, 2020, 10:56 AM

I’d love to see if those FDNY guys got in a couple of extra digs on that creep. They know the score, and they do not tolerate BS.

  • Gordon Scott September 9, 2020, 12:20 PM

    Anne,
Have you noticed (Andy Ngo photos) that pretty much all of the Antifa types look mentally ill?

And all of the non-Antifa violent protesters are felons?

Casey, do you remember pictures of the shoe bomber after they dragged him off the plane? He looked like he’d gone three minutes with Mike Tyson. We need a bit more of that.

Tribute to the “Pinochet Solution” (from Steppenwolf’s “God Damn The Pusher”

You know I quote lot of Marx

    With tombstones in their eyes
    Aah, but Pinochet dont care
If you live or if you die

God damn .. uh huh .. Pinochet
I said God damn; GOD famn Pinochet man

You know Guevarra, Guevarra is a man
With a love of Castro in his head
Aaah, but Pinochet is a monster
Good God, hes not a Gramscian man
    GUEVARRA .. on a poster
Will sell you a Marxist pipe dream
Aww, but Pinochet will install a junta
Oh Lord, he’ll put your commie ass in a sling

“At some point the vigilantes take over, and guys like Biggs just disappear. Usually that didn’t turn out so well in the past, and the vigilantes were a net negative.”

True Vigilante-ism has never been actually tried.
True Vigilante-ism has never been tried, and if it’s tried just one more time it will definitely work this time.

  • Chris G September 10, 2020, 6:39 AM

Unfortunately, he’ll be back on the street the next day thanks to DeBlasio’s catch and release policy- 18 priors, right, ready for 19 and 20?

  • AltRockLuvah September 10, 2020, 11:35 AM

Wait for it. BLM will call this an attempted lynching. Can’t have a gang of strong white men chasing down black men who sucker-punch old ladies. This is NOT the Jim Crow South after all.

  • Callmelennie September 10, 2020, 11:40 AM

I didn’t just pull that out of my descending colon the other day, Gerard. I did that parody 20 months ago on a Thepeoplescube thread about Pinochet’s helicopter solution. Check out Oleg’s contribution to the threat. I do believe he still harbors no small amount of hostility to Communist regimes and would be regime-usurpers. Really funny stuff

    Oh yes…. Grammy Award for

“Well, we don’t know that you can’t fly
Why don’t you come with me Stalinist
    On a Helicopter flight
We don’t know if you have wings
Since that you told your schemes to me
Open doors and we’ll set you free
    Loose your ties now
    Look outside now
Let’s see if you can fly”

A civilized society that valued social unity and harmony would string this animal up from the nearest tree and then dose him with gasoline.
