Based on what we now understand about #coronavirus, it seems clear to me the consensus of opinion in the country is that losing a few hundred thousand people (or fewer if we are clever) is an acceptable price for reopening the economy. I’m in a higher risk category and agree.

Today, a fully dressed Navy Master Chief stood in the ocean after the town in Emerald Isle, NC ordered the beaches closed.
3 hours later, the town re-opened the beaches to the public.

Conservatives: ‘Woah. Ok. This looks serious. Let’s take two weeks, stay at home. Be cautious.’
Progressives: ‘TAKE CONTROL OF THE STATE! BAN ALL TRAVEL! RESTRICT PURCHASING! QUICK! GET THE DRONES TO ENSURE NO ONE WALKS THEIR DOG!! ARREST THE PREACHERS! FILL IN THE SKATE PARKS!’

Current status on the 10 East heading to downtown LA. Way worse than yesterday. It seems the stay at home order is a paper tiger at this point. People are over it and patience is at an all time low. Local officials are losing control of their messaging. #COVIDー19 @FOXLA pic.twitter.com/TXGNMuMuaE

I’m really disappointed to see Scott Adams on the hysteria bandwagon.
That’s a very valid point,Christopher. Adams has set himself up as a pundit and has a schedule of one to two hours a day. He’s interesting but he doesn’t have enough material to fill two hours, hence he tends to blather more and more.
We’re going to lose 6 figures, probably 7, to early death in Depression 2.0 and people like Scott will be to blame.
I don’t get why you guys are complaining about Scott Adams. He is saying he is in the high risk category and still agrees with the decision to open the country. Why is that a problem? “…losing a few hundred thousand people (or fewer if we are clever) is an acceptable price for reopening the economy. I’m in a higher risk category and agree.”
And on the beach where I spent my summers as a boy, to boot… Bravo Zulu, Master Chief Rife, Bravo Zulu!
