Tweeting Tonight. Tweeting On the Old Camp Ground.

Many are the hearts that are weary tonight,
Wishing for the war to cease;
Many are the hearts looking for the right
To see the dawn of peace.
Tenting tonight, tenting tonight,
Tenting on the old camp ground.

TRANSCRIPT: I get calls from my father to tell me that The New York Times is calling but my old partner Eric, who literally has done me harm for I don’t know how long, is the one taking the calls because my father will not stop sending the calls to Eric. I have another New York Times reporter calling about my representation of Patrick Ho – the fucking spy chief of China who started the company that my partner, who is worth $323 billion, founded and is now missing. The richest man in the world is missing who was my partner. He was missing since I last saw him in his $58 million apartment inside a $4 billion deal to build the fucking largest fucking LNG port in the world. And I am receiving calls from the Southern District of New York from the U.S. Attorney himself. My best friend in business Devon has named me as a witness without telling me in a criminal case and my father without telling me.

TY, Gerard. This is the best news aggregator, even though I know that’s not your goal. Still, it is such.

I had a momentary flash of doubt earlier today.

So far, I’ve been quite positive about the outcome of this election. I’m confident that Trump will win by a very large margin, but then I was reading a bit about various house and senate seats that are up for grabs. Two off the top of my head, McConnell and Graham, are apparently struggling. Frankly, I can’t stand either of them and believe that have been weak in their roles of leadership in the senate. I would like to see them cast out (not that it is up to me. I don’t live in S.C. or Kentucky.), but that would mean the dems gain seats….not good. Same thing with some seats in the house.

So, back to the wave of doubt that overtook my thinking. Suppose Trump wins, but the Dead Elephant Party loses seats in both the house, leaving us with a Donkey controlled legislative branch for the T2. That would suck badly!…er bigly. It would be 4 more years of attack the president all over again!

    Sorry for the buzz kill.

I look at the reports of Biden / Harris “rallies” and turn-out is pathetic, deservingly so. Contrast to Trump rallies, seemingly endless parades with throngs of happy people. They seem to be everywhere across the country. I just hope I’m not living / thinking inside an echo chamber that is deaf to the possibility of losing.

Kevin, if the Democrats win control of the Congress, especially the Senate, then it’s game over.

As soon as the the new Congress convenes the first order of business will be the second, but successful, impeachment of President Donald Trump.
Then Pence. Then it’s President Pelosi.

    And then….

    John, I think it’s a real possibility.
I never expected that a Trump win would be easy sailing, but that hit me today and yes, as you say, game over.
So, the reality of this election is Trump must win by a huge margin so there is no argument about legitimacy and the Dead Elephants need to hold the senate and gain the house……..not likely me thinks.

Those insufferable “In This House We Believe” virtue-signaling signs are ALL OVER this region.
I am SO making up my own #selfrighteouspumpkin stickers.

    John and Kevin,

Impeachment requires only a simple majority in the House. Removal from office requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate, and the Democrats won’t get one for a few election cycles, at least.

So Trump can pretty much do as he pleases, as he already has a lot of key people in place in posts that require Senate confirmation. Even if the Democrats take the Senate, so what? He and his Cabinet and their immediate subordinates can re-make the Executive Branch without further “input” being required from Congress, and if Congress tries to thwart his moves via legislation, he can freely wield the veto power, knowing that his vetoes can’t be overturned (the Democrats not having a 2/3rds majority in BOTH houses).

P.S. I keep meaning to say this, and I keep forgetting to. Thanks, Gerard for running this site — it’s a daily stop for me, and there’s always something interesting to read. — Hale

    To Kevin in PA-

QUOTE- “No one has enough ammo!”

YEP! That’s pretty much true- as I stated many times during the Obama crisis. “There’s no such thing as having ENOUGH ammo.” And that’s true as long as there’s even ONE Liberal alive in the USA.

Knowing that Liberals hate the 2nd Amendment, I invested in several different gun & ammo companies, starting in early 2009. Everything then went through the roof, and I sold off most of those stocks in 2012- 2013. The profits were incredible, damn near obscene.

During that same time period (and ever since then) I’ve “invested” in a pretty sizeable amount of reloading equipment and components, including 4 presses, dies for every caliber weapon I own, LOTS of bullet moulds, and currently about 1/4 ton of pure lead. To top that off, I live close to two outdoor shooting ranges, where I harvest a pretty sizeable amount of FREE once-fired brass in about every caliber you could imagine. Sounds like I’m super-prepared and mega-stocked-up, right?

Not exactly. Part of the reason I’m this well prepared and stocked is because many of my Conservative friends are NOT, and friends are supposed to take care of each other.

My point? Ammo isn’t really as scarce as it might seem- only “scarce” on store shelves and websites.
