  Japanese soldiers were not forced to go to war. They did it for the Emperor.

  Tens of millions of Germans knew what was happening in the camps, and did nothing. No one forced them to ignore it.

  Orders from mayors and governors, backed up by warnings, surveillance, and police? No force there. No siree Bob’s your uncle.

  L.A. in lock-down until Mayor Prance-in-the-Pants (a hypochondriac compulsive hand-washer with a voice that oozes fruity) and his macramé-weaving, New Age, social-workie circle jerkie “Doctor” of Nothing Studies, decide to allow subjects to leave their homes and freely walk amidst the sidewalk miasma, without the degradation ceremony of a do-nothing mask.

  I hear that sheep conform to “government directives” without the use of force.

  If you prepare a population slowly but surely—fear of getting sick, fear of police, habitual obedience to authority and to the diktats of political correctness (Stanley Milgram), fear of standing out by nonconforming or even just questioning, a history of depending on the government (“Please tell us what to eat. Can we eat eggs?”) then you don’t need force. The people are willing.

  “Oh, please, we’re so scared. Tell us what to do?

  And then there are the freedomists lurking in their lairs. They see a deal going down, a solitary jackboot flexes his muscle on a target. The freedomists emerge and descend on the gov’t thug from all directions, beating it to a lifeless pulp then retract to their bolt holes and remain silent. This process is repeated everywhere. The boots up the game, all patrols will be in pairs or better. The freedomists do likewise. The next pair of boots are beaten then set on fire. Massive fear ripples through the blue line, half flee for their lives, the remaining half ramps up. They too will lose their lives. Coming to your neighborhood before late summer.
