True but Forbidden 18: Very Old Dung Balls in a Most Modern Drawer

Notre Dame: An Omen –Dennis Prager I don’t know if a worker accident or a radical Muslim set fire to Notre Dame Cathedral (as they have scores of other churches around Europe). In terms of what the fire represented, it doesn’t much matter. What matters is the omen: Europe is burning, just as Notre Dame was.

Not so very long ago, Paris was widely considered the heart of Western civilization and culture. And at its heart was the Cathedral of Notre Dame. In recent decades, as the number of Muslims in greater Paris has risen into the millions, and the city has gained notoriety for its no-go zones and car burnings, that sometime capital of Western civilization has instead become, for many, a symbol of Western civilization’s decline. So it is that when one hears talk of  the construction of new Notre Dame that will be “more modern” or “more beautiful” than the original, it’s only natural –“ especially given that the cathedral, like all such structures in France, belongs not to the Catholic Church but to the French state –“  to picture a building that, in the eyes of national and municipal officials, their interfaith advisors, and whatever cockamamie commission of postmodernism-loving architectural experts they end up putting together, ends up being some multipurpose multicultural monstrosity centered on a non-denominational worship area and/or containing different spaces for different faiths, with plenty of prayer rugs, wudu units, etc., for Muslims. — Holy Smoke

Comey: ‘We Did Not Spy—We Just Observed And Reported Secretly Without The Subject’s Knowledge Or Consent’

Erasing the Banned   The creators of The Simpsons recently pulled the episode featuring Michael Jackson and all of Bill Cosby’s television offerings have been removed from syndication, as have reruns of Roseanne and 7th Heaven. When the digital sub-network Bounce returned Cosby’s show to their rotation they were inundated with criticism. œGood to know where your corporation stands on rapists I guess, wrote one viewer. So it’s no longer enough to ignore the offerings of those you deem unacceptable, you must deny their creative talents to others. And you must deny those residual checks to innocent colleagues who had the unfortunate luck to be associated with them.

How to increase your chances of finding a hidden camera

Civilization Wins in ‘The Highwaymen’ “It’s never easy, and it’s never pretty. And there’s always blood at the end of the road—you know that. Weakness right now is just going to get more good men killed.”

Everything nowadays is run by committees – and committees are intrinsically left wing and atheist; because personal responsibility is eliminated, hence there is ‘no morality’ in committee decisions – which is another way of saying that they are always and intrinsically immoral; which is another way of stating the plain fact that Committees Are Evil.

Students at the University of California, Davis protested a photo of a heroic slain woman police officer holding a Thin Blue Line flag as “anti-black” and “disrespectful.” For some, nothing is sacred, and to those lusting after another opportunity to be offended, everything is a provocation. Leftist protestors pepper-sprayed a group of high school kids meeting about free markets and the Constitution. Though many were hospitalized, the media ignored the event.

WALSH: The LGBT Lobby Has Been Trying To Exact Revenge On A Chicken Restaurant For Seven Years. This Is Not Normal.

C.S. Lewis | “All that we call human history–money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery–[is] the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.”

Sense of Events: The deliberate destruction of women’s sports Schools across the country will not have the option to “allow.” They will be compelled to admit. The photo here, btw, shows a high school girl “transitioning” to male by taking high doses of testosterone. But she still competes on in the girls’ events, where she has never lost. So it works only one way, really: boys who want to compete against only girls can do so, but girls taking male-strength drugs still get to compete against girls.

“The Danish government recently did a study [in which they] estimate you would have to use an organic cotton bag 20,000 times more than a plastic grocery bag to make using it better for the environment.”

Weird Olympic Sports that have (Thankfully) been Removed the Games once included “Solo Synchronized Swimming”. Huh? How is that even possible? How do you synchronize with yourself? However, if you think about it, synchronized swimming is much like dancing, and if you’ll excuse the bad Billy Idol pun, solo synchronized swimming is much like dancing with yourself. It’s all rhythm. And actually, the event is really hard. The event appeared in 1988 in Seoul and lasted through the Barcelona Games in ’92. After that, solo swimmers had to join a duo or a quad to compete. There is no male synchronized swimming, thank the Lord.

Cool, Chill and Take a Chill Pill – Origins of These Popular Slang Words Oddly enough, in the 1870s, one could actually take a chill pill. In an 1877 book for housewives, Housekeeping in Old Virginia: Containing Contributions from Two Hundred and Fifty of Virginia’s Noted Housewives, Distinguished for Their Skill in the Culinary Art and Other Branches of Domestic Economy, by Marion Cabell Tyree, there was a recipe for homemade pills called chill pills to help with intermittent fever. The ingredients were two drachms (about one-eighth of an ounce) of quinine, one grain of arsenious acid (containing arsenic), one grain of strychnia (containing strychnine), twenty grains of potassium ferric hexacyanoferrate (Prussian blue), and one drachm of powdered capsicum (paprika or chili pepper).

Christie Tells It Like It Is “Multiple murders occurred, 2,900 murders occurred on that day by radical Islamic terrorists and that’s the way it should always be spoken about to honor those victims and this woman is completely – let’s put aside her religion for the moment – as a public servant, she’s off her rocker to be describing it that way and it’s a disgrace, it’s a disgrace to anyone in her congressional district who voted for her.”

Justice Ginsburg hates the very idea of Amy Coney Barrett. Her clerks avoid mentioning Amy Coney Barrett’s name in her presence because it drives her to apoplexy. Amy Coney Barrett literally embodies everything that Justice Ginsburg detests about conservatives. Amy Coney Barrett is extraordinarily smart, young, articulate, talented, generous, attractive, rock-solid in her beliefs, has raised many children, is unintimidated by the Left, is photogenic and telegenic—and, with 53 Republicans in the Senate, 100 percent confirmable. No more Jeff Flakes, no more “highly credible allegations” of multiple gang rapes of college women by high school kids, no more yearbooks, no more stalling, and no more bullshit.

This cycle where the Left commits outrages against civility and the white middle-class accommodates it, has led to where we are now. The people calling themselves the defenders of democracy tried to subvert the last Presidential election. The so-called social justice warriors celebrate a black movie star walking free after perpetrating a blood libel against white people. The defenders of open debate on the college campus, rush to suppress any opinion not on the increasingly narrow list of approved opinions.

America is a land that bans books, has political prisoners and condemns people to a form of internal exile where they cannot have a job or maintain a normal life. Ten years ago, if someone said Americans would lose their jobs because they liked something on social media, only the aluminum foil hat types would have believed it. Such things were considered impossible just a decade ago. In the 1980’s these were the sorts of things that happened in the Soviet Union, which was why communism was considered evil.

Bacteria from a human hand

More than a million high-capacity ammunition magazines flooded into California during a week long window created when a federal judge temporarily threw out the state’s ban

This desire to include everyone has allowed all sorts of barking at the moon crazies to gain positions of influence in the culture. These are the people who show up in the corporate human resource department chanting about the need to make sure everyone holds the exact same opinions, all in the name of diversity. These are the people running around attacking statuary on the college campus. Fear of these crazies has damaged our normal mechanism for defending society from external threats.

Can Mayor Buttplug Save the Democrats? I mean, he doesn’t merely engage in sexual activities that Leviticus declares to be an abomination before the Lord Jehovah. He plays piano, harmonica, and guitar. He speaks eight languages and allegedly learned Norwegian just so he could read a novel. He’s a Rhodes scholar and an Afghanistan war vet. He refers to himself as “definitely the only left-handed, Maltese American Episcopalian gay millennial war veteran in the race.”

Man Still Clinging To Outdated Belief In Good, All-Powerful, Generous, Loving Government

‘Extreme Pollen’ Blankets North Carolina in a Sneeze-Inducing Yellow Haze –

There is no such thing as a collective inherited crime. The call for reparations is a con trick by African-American race hustlers, or a Times jerk desperate to show his liberal, bleeding-heart credentials. Nothing more. It is bullshit of the kind one encounters every day in places like New York and Los Angeles, and as a very wise man once reminded a black firebrand who called America the most oppressive state in the world, “There is always Liberia and other African countries who would welcome you with open arms.” Incredibly, there were no takers.

Nearly 4,000 years ago a beetle carefully shaped that ball of elephant poo, then laid her eggs in it, then someone put it in a pyramid–are scarabs helpful in the afterlife?–and now here he was, holding it in his blue-gloved hand. He still doesn’t know how the dung balls ended up in the entomology collection. Some day maybe he’ll open one up to find out what species the larvae are. For now, though, they rest in their antique box, deep in the non-public areas of the museum.

Are There Any Limits to Illegal Immigration? – In my immediate rural environs, there is now the following: 1) an illegal dump of various junk, wrecked cars, and discarded household items; 2) a strange open-air vacant storage lot dotted with porta-potties, trailers and assorted junk spread over five acres; 3) a bizarre sort of camp, in which lean-tos, shacks, and tents are hidden among an old persimmon orchard, where no one quite knows how many such structures are hidden inside the mysterious grove; 4) a permanent hanging gardens of Babylon-type of yard sale where a home’s trees and bushes are littered with hanging clothing and flotsam and jetsam, some of them rotting from the recent rains; 5) a former backyard that is now a small goat mart; 6) an unlicensed, ad hoc outdoor barber shop; 7) an unlicensed, ad hoc outdoor daycare center.

We are not dealing here with “another point of view.” We are dealing instead with the satanic. It takes many forms, but when “Allah” is deemed to have commanded massacres of the harmless and defenseless, it may be seen that devil-worship is directly in play. For the poisonously befogged liberal mind, demonic service is less conscious. The liberal is not so much the Devil’s worshipper, as the Devil’s plaything. But this may be rationally demonstrated, by the consistency of his support for the more evil of any two rival causes — for whichever side promises the greater reduction of human life, up to the stage where it becomes so visibly icky that natural mechanisms are triggered, and he throws up.

“Beto O’Rourke is a misogynist, although his ode to cows”

When I was in college, I had to read a “novel” by Faulkner. The professor explained the word salad in one chapter was a lyrical description of the Idiot Ike Snopes raping a cow.

Can we rename Robert Francis O’Rourke the Idiot Beto Snopes?

“Everything nowadays is run by committees – and committees are intrinsically left wing and atheist” I worked as a government contractor for many years. Almost all decisions are made by committees and “Control Boards”. Something is put on the table, everyone votes, and thus it is decided. Only, when the time comes, and it will, to decide who’s responsible to clean up the mess that was decided on, guess what? No one is responsible. Certainly the “board” is not responsible. Certainly no single member is responsible. Certainly the boss or bosses of the folks on the board are not responsible.
Finally, what generally happens is a new contract is issued and some contractors clean it up because a contractor is required to have a Program Manager who IS responsible. And will be held responsible by the agency Contracting Officer. Sometimes it is just humorous. You have to smile.

This cycle where the Left commits outrages against civility and the white middle-class accommodates it, has led to where we are now.+++++++++++++++++
I disagree with the author’s characterization of it being an accommodation. If anything, it was a quaint, if wrong, belief in a once-upon-a-time concept known as the Rule of Law and the fair, equal application of same. Unbeknownst to most was the steady infiltration of rot that became ensconced in the judicial system. With the corruption of the judiciary it was a foregone conclusion that the social contract between us, the governed, and those whom we vest with awesome power, would be sundered. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Evil, rust, and Cultural Marxism never sleep. It’s taken many decades to achieve what they’ve accomplished. Perhaps the most insidious thing they’ve done is the corruption of our children. As much as I hate to say it, the Millennials appear to be so woefully unprepared for life that they are going to need all the government they can get (think Obama’s Julia election campaign ad.)
Yet, these are the people with whom, we’re supposed to have some sort of “national conversation”? Where do you even begin?

The word for “dung beetle” in Ancient Egyptian is the same sound as the word for “existence.” Also a lot of ancients thought that the dung beetle reproduced asexually, just laying eggs that turned into beetles.

So there is also an Egyptian myth about a cosmic dung beetle pushing the Sun along every day, instead of a ball of dung with an egg in it.

Having become a hardcore cynic in my old age I always demand numbers from stories such as “Students protest photo.” My bucket of outrage is low these days so I have to parcel it out in dribs and drabs. Exactly how many “students” protested? If it was several thousand I can use up some of my outrages but if it was 10 then I can save my outrage and question why it’s a story at all. I protest every day but it’s rarely worth mentioning.

Larry Geiger, in the nuclear Navy this committee is called the Joint Test Group. Everyone signs off on an evolution in order that no one will be responsible for it.

  • Denny April 17, 2019, 2:19 PM

Vultures, – is the only appropriate word to use for those one time Avenatti sycophants. It makes me wonder to know how all those left wing Trump haters have so easily been enslaved into their terminally evil mindsets and world views.
I’m sure they all conveniently ignored the facts about what kind of man their hero really was and is.

  • Casey Klahn April 17, 2019, 2:52 PM

Yes on committees. Committees looking over their shoulder at “legal.”

You see it on every block as you drive almost any strip in America. Intersections that don’t work and were apparently designed by idiots. Er…committees.

Manoah’s blog: thank you for that. A favorite quote is mentioned, by C.S. Lewis. “He (God) is not a tame lion.” This has less meaning now than when Lewis wrote it, as most people now have only a Disney myth in their heads of what a feral animal is like. They actually think that tigers, wolves and sea mammals seek out a human when they are injured! I would much rather live in a theocracy than in the idiocracy we now inhabit.

Keep after Comey. Every ribbing he gets is tonic for Americans because he’s had his moment of fame and glory.

  • Harry April 17, 2019, 4:31 PM

Even more skilled than committees when it comes to avoiding responsibility – public schools.

They did it with full 100% approval, cooperation, and encouragement of the parents.

“The LGBT Lobby Has Been Trying To Exact Revenge On A Chicken Restaurant For Seven Years. This Is Not Normal.”
    ============

    Not normal = abnormal, right?
Is it normal or abnormal for a boy to jam his dick in another boys ass?
    *To be blunt.*

Of course the chicken attack is not normal, just like the buggering of a boys ass is not normal.
That these degenerates are given even one second of anyone’s time is not normal.

    **Blunt.
People need to stop talking about this nastiness in words that have no business in the conversation and speak of it, if they must, in direct, truthful words. When I see mention of that degenerate mayor this is the only thing I can think of, bluntly:

Quoting from the article about Justice Ginsburg and Amy Coney Barrett: “She is confirmable even if every progressive loonbag in a 300-mile radius dresses up in a pink vagina costume, converges on the Capitol, and burns down half of Washington, D.C. ”

Oh please God, please. After all, we gotta start somewhere.

They’re building a Chick-fil-a near me. First one within a reasonable driving range. When it opens I’m heading over there for a meal.
I hope there are protesters, I like a touch of sauce with my sandwich.

You wonder what the new and improved Notre Damn will look like with EU money. If what happened to so many churches after Vatican 2.0 is any indication, it will be the most welcoming thing ever…but perhaps not very Catholic. Who pays the piper calls the tune, after all.

  • ghostsniper April 19, 2019, 4:51 AM

“You wonder what the new and improved Notre Damn will look like…”
    ======================

The roof will be rainbow colored, of course, and there will be a transparent wall built right down the middle of the whole thing, diversity ya know, so that both sides can feel safe yet inclusive. And speaking of safe spaces, much of the new space will indeed be designated safe. And finally, the entire top floor will be a mosque. Yes, top. As that religion is now the number one religion in the region, so says all the major media outlets. Go ask em.

Notice the diff between religion and region is li, what the media is good at.

  • Casey Klahn April 19, 2019, 7:57 AM

Jewel: how true! If France pays then the RC church will be obliged to knuckle under to their demands. I was thinking the exact thing on the way back from town yesterday, and then saw your comment.

Some more thoughts. The RC church is rolling in not just money but assets worth I think more than anyone can imagine. Most of it is not liquid, but the treasures abound. Go see the church in Orvieto and you’ll realize the Catholics are well endowed. Perhaps with the private donations, which are huge, they could tell the French to go themselves. OTOH, the death of a thousand cuts might overwhelm them, as apparently they have been pilloried several hundred times just in France and just in the past year or 2.

Diversity? OMFG! Fuck me sideways!! Diversity?????

The RC has more black adherents in Africa than there are people in France. How about Latin Americans? Like the grains of sand, there are so many RC latinos it makes France look pint sized.

On the already over-amped discussion of terrorism, I was thinking yesterday @ how stupid I’m supposed to be for bringing Muslims into the suspect pool the day after the blaze. On cue, the Musalims announced that the ND can be rebuilt and that their going to burn the mother fucker down right soon. But, I’m an ass for referring to terrorism. Shit.

  • Casey Klahn April 19, 2019, 8:14 AM

    “…and that they’re,” of course.

  • ghostsniper April 19, 2019, 11:29 AM

See that big ol’ spire right in the middle, that now lies in ashes on the ground. The new one should be twice as tall and massive, a big fat finger to whomevah. At the very top of that spire install a 100,000 gpm high pressure 360 degree fire sprinkler that will go off when any flame within 1000′ of the church is detected and it will draw all of it’s water directly from all the mosques within a 5 mile radius including the squat toilets installed there. If any muslims happen to be squatting the next time a fire attempt is made on ND their guts will be sucked out through their anuses in unison.

  • Gordon Scott April 19, 2019, 9:43 PM

When that Chick-fil-a opens, try a frosted lemonade. Or a frosted key lime. Or a frosted Dr. Pepper. They can make any drink a frosted drink. You just have to ask. They’ll make you just about anything you ask for, if the ingredients are present. I ordered a double-double down one day. That’s a chicken breast, bacon, cheese, chicken breast, bacon, cheese, chicken breast, bacon, cheese and a chicken breast. No bun, this is a low carb meal! The manager was not perfectly cheerful, as he’d just gotten an order for 80 box meals with no warning. But they made it for me.

I stopped in at one for breakfast a couple of weeks ago. There were two men’s bible study groups present.

  • ghostsniper April 20, 2019, 7:22 AM

That frosted keylime sounds tasty, does it come as a 92oz version in a reusable bathroom waste basket?

OK, what’d that double double cost ya? Looks like about a weeks worth of calories.

I went to the CF the first time last summer, at the drive through in Bloomington, got 8pc fingers, fries, tea, and it cost more than $10 – kinda pricey to me. It was OK flavor wise, but when it comes to fast food, which is extremely rare around these parts, all of it is OK, over priced, and looks like it fell off the truck, and none of it recommendable.

The best fast food chicken I ever had was many years ago at Popeye’s but since moving up here to the GWN none are within an hour, all are in the big city, and all are inundated with negro’s in areas known for frequent shootings (to be avoided at all times). So, as with Kentucky Fried Chicken, I will most likely never surrender any of my coin to them again.

“Notre Dame Will Be Repaired at Taxpayer Expense, but as a “Shared Cultural/Spiritual Space”. And That Is How It Will Become a Mosque.” – Ann Barnhardt

Just guessing correctly about the obvious does not make one a prophet but Barnhardt is probably right on here. You know, – after the rebuild is finished, the Muslims will come. They’ll hang out behind the pillars with their hatred and thuggery. Soon, because of the rapes and violence on innocents, there will be no decent white person or Christian that will dare to go near the new facility. After just a couple of years the beautiful “cultural space” will look just like a five year old ghetto housing site, graffiti and all. Just one more step in the cowardly suicide of the West.

  • pbird April 20, 2019, 8:41 PM

I like that photo of the smoking kid too. I have had it in my stash for years.
